Dear Church Family,

Our church bylaws (Article VI, Section 6) state that for a proposal for the church to borrow money there must be at least 30 days between the presentation and the vote.

Since the presentation was made on Aug 16 that will require the congregational vote on Project Refresh to take place on September 20th in order to comply with the bylaws.

Therefore, the decision has been made to postpone the vote to 9/20. I apologize for this oversight and for any confusion it may cause.

Please continue to pray for God's leading and for unity in our church family as we make this very important decision regarding our future.

On Sunday August 30, we will vote to move forward on phase 2 of the project (phase 1 was the renovation of the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms that were completed earlier this year). The vote will be by secret ballot and there will not be an absentee ballot.

If you have questions, please contact the church office 919-639-6126 or [email protected]. Members of the Project Refresh team will be available in the Ladies Parlor after the worship service to answer questions as well.

This will include a
- summary of the scope of work and design features for Phase 2
- recommendation from the Construction Committee on a construction budget and a contractor to do the work
- recommendation from the Fundraising Team with a proposal to fund Phase 2

Today, we have 21 youth and 6 chaperones leaving today for a week at Camp Caswell.

Please pray for them this week.

Pray for safety as they travel.
Pray that they would stay healthy and well.
Pray for those who don’t yet know Christ to have a real encounter with Him.
Pray for those who have accepted Jesus that they would grow closer to Him.
