Lasting impressions: Cantor Caitlin met with residents at Stonehill earlier this week for an afternoon of music and storytelling — sharing memories of Jewish life that spanned generations. Moments like these are what community is made of. ❤️

We wrapped up our Artist-in-Residence Weekend with Noah Aronson the best way possible — by filling the Village Food Hub pantry from empty to full.

A huge thank you to Marcy Shack for organizing the food drive and to the Shack Family Fund for sponsoring the entire weekend. Marcy said it best: “We capped off an amazing weekend by filling the food pantry. It was empty when we arrived.”

Tzedakah in action. ❤️

In observance of Memorial Day, this special Band of Brothers (and their families) placed American flags at the Temple Emanuel cemetery and the Beacon Street cemeteries in Lawrence in honor of those who served and sacrificed. We hold their memory close — zichronam livracha — may their memory be a blessing. Grateful. Humbled. Never forgetting. ❤️

And... if you were at last weekend's Artist-in-Residence-palooza, you know Saturday night was the energizing pinnacle that literally brought us to our feet!

After Rabbi Wilfond, Noah Aronson, Cantor Rachel, and Cantor Caitlin led us through a beautiful Havdalah marking the close of Shabbat, Noah took the bimah in extraordinary harmony with the cantors — a blissful, multisensory treat. And in a moment of pure spontaneous joy, the Soul Sisters were called up to join them — no warning, no matching black outfits, just jeans, big voices, and even bigger hearts. Together they led us in "You've Got a Friend" and Noah's own "Let There Be Love - Hashkeivenu."

Pure music. Pure connection. Pure Temple Emanuel.

We're still reliving every moment of our incredible Artist-in-Residence Weekend with Noah Aronson! Saturday morning, we pulled up a chair and went deeper. Noah led our "Encountering Prayer Through Music & Meaning" Shabbat Study Session alongside Rabbi Wilfond, Cantor Rachel, and Cantor Caitlin — and together with our highly engaged and engaging congregants, we explored the emotional and spiritual landscape behind the prayers we've been saying our whole lives. Song, story, reflection, and really good questions. Oh, and Mamelah's bagels didn't hurt either. 😉
