During the Sermon Sunday, August 23, Pastor Nick reminded us that "sometimes God's judgement looks like giving people exactly what they choose." It is when God "gives us over to the sinful desires of our heart." But, that is not the end of the story. Pastor Nick reminded us that "The God who lets you leave is the same God who runs to meet you when you turn around."

During the Sermon at Hope Community Church this weekend, Pastor Steve Weldon spoke on Jesus' words to us from Luke 9:23-24:
"Then he said to them all: 'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. " (NIV)
And Pastor Steve asked some thought provoking questions:
What's your cross on your Jesus journey on the Road to Real?
What is it with which you personally struggle?
What weight do you carry?
What past experience or the sins or others or yourself has left you with a heavy burden?
