Join us this Tuesday, September 8th, for our men's study. This week we will be looking at Acts Chapters 6 and 7.

In Chapters 6 and 7, Stephen was taken before the high Priest to answer charges of speaking about Jesus. We'll look at his countenance and the beginning of his defense.

Are you tripping over your own distractions?
In the ancient world, a warrior would "gird his loins" by tucking his loose, flowing tunic into his leather belt so he could run and fight without stumbling. The Apostle Paul tells us to do the exact same thing spiritually by wrapping ourselves in God's Truth.
What "loose ends" are tripping you up this week? Is it endless scrolling, comparing yourself to others online, or letting your mind wander into anxiety? Satan loves to use these loose threads to tangle us up before the battle even begins.
The Practical Step: Today, take 10 minutes to intentionally "tuck in" those distractions. Put your phone in another room, open your Bible, and let the solid truth of God’s Word prepare your mind for whatever challenges you face today.

The enemy loves to roar to make you think he has ultimate power over your life, your family, and your future. But the truth is, at the cross, Jesus disarmed him completely! Satan is like a defanged lion—he can make a lot of terrifying noise to intimidate you, but he cannot bite unless you willingly step into his jaw by believing his lies. Don't fall for the deception today. You are secure in Christ. Stand firm and walk in His victory!

When tensions rise with your spouse, a coworker, or a friend, it's incredibly easy to view them as the opposition. But the reality of spiritual warfare is that the enemy wants you fighting each other so you won't pray together. Let's shift our perspective today. The person standing in front of you is not the enemy—they are a target of the enemy, and someone God fiercely loves. Stop fighting flesh and blood, and start fighting the real battle in prayer.
