What a wonderful day at Parkwood Baptist Church! 💙✝️

We celebrated a beautiful baptism service today as Sammi, Isaiah, and Carter publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ through baptism! What a blessing to witness these three take this important step in their walk with the Lord. 🙌

We were also excited to welcome Ryan Wise as the newest member of our Parkwood family! ❤️

God is moving, lives are being changed, and His church continues to grow. We are so thankful for all He is doing!

Funeral Arrangements:

📅 Saturday, August 29th
🕒 Visitation: 2pm
🕊️ Funeral Service: Immediately following (Approx. 2:30pm)

Please continue to keep Lora’s family and loved ones in your prayers during the days ahead. Lora was a treasured part of our Parkwood Baptist Church family, and she will be deeply missed.

We are thankful for the hope we have in Christ and the promise that this goodbye is not forever.

Lora Black Moore, 77, widow of Samuel Lamar Sammy Moore, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026. Born in Augusta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Marion and Margaret Caroline Pritchard Black. Lora was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church. It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear church member, Lora Moore, who went home to be with the Lord early this morning.

Today would have been Lora’s birthday, and while we grieve her loss here on earth, we find comfort in knowing she is celebrating her birthday in Heaven. 💜

Please keep Lora’s family and loved ones in your prayers during the days ahead.
