The Impact Of God’s Grace
Titus 2:11-14
After John Newton was Saved by God’s Amazing Grace, he had a Preoccupation with Heaven…YOU Should Too!
Our Eternity in Heaven represents the FINAL Stage in Every Christian’s life…we ALL have a Past, a Present & a Future.
The APPEARANCE of God’s Grace Sets in Motion the THREE STAGES of life that every Christian goes through. (v.11)
1. WE’RE REDEEMED FROM SIN’S PENALTY – PAST (v.14a)
• ONLY God’s GRACE through the Shed Blood of Jesus can Sufficiently Cover your Sin & REDEEM you from Sin’s Penalty.
• Once we’re Forgiven & Saved, we No Longer have to FACE the Penalty of Sin…Jesus Already FACED it for us.
• When you look back At The CROSS say, “WHEW! I’m Glad That’s Over! I’m GLAD my SIN’s been DEALT with.”
2. WE’RE RELEASED FROM SIN’S POWER – PRESENT (v.12, 14b)
• Just because we’re Redeemed Doesn’t Mean we won’t have to DEAL with SIN…
1.) To Live Victoriously, Grace Teaches Us To RENOUNCE Sin. (v.12a)
2.) To Live Victoriously, Grace Teaches Us To RULE Self. (v.12b, Luke 22:42)
3.) To Live Victoriously, Grace Teaches Us To RESPECT Others. (v.12c)
4.) To Live Victoriously, Grace Teaches Us To REVERENCE God. (v,12d, 2 Peter 1:3-4)
5.) To Live Victoriously, Grace Teaches Us To RESIST Laziness. (v.14b, 1 Corinthians 15:10)
3. WE’RE REMOVED FROM SIN’S PRESENCE–FUTURE (v.13)
• PRAISE GOD the Day is COMING when we will be DONE with SIN Once & For All!
• Christ’s Return will be the Grand FINALE in God’s Glorious Revelation of GRACE.
• We should Learn to LIVE with TWO Motivations in our lives: (The CROSS & the CROWN)
• LIVE Looking BACK to the Cross & Looking FORWARD to the Return of Jesus.
• God’s Grace SAVES us in the PAST & PRESENT and SECURES us for the FUTURE…
