🙌 Sunday Recap of the Word 🙌
New Birth Apostolic Church
Today, Elder Wardlaw brought forth a powerful message:
Topic: Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself
Scriptures: Deuteronomy 1:40-46; Deuteronomy 2; Deuteronomy 7
Elder reminded us that God had promised Israel a land flowing with milk and honey, but because of their disobedience, they missed what God had for them. Like a child who gets disciplined and then tries to fix the situation on their own, many times we find ourselves trying to correct things after we’ve already ignored God’s instructions.
One of the strongest lessons from today’s message was this: Don’t miss your blessing by failing to obey God. When God says move, move. When God says wait, wait. The Israelites moved without God and suffered the consequences. Many of the troubles we face are not because God failed us, but because we failed to follow His direction.
From Deuteronomy 2, we were reminded that even during Israel’s wilderness journey, God never left them. What should have been a short journey became forty years because of disobedience, yet God’s presence remained. Even when we make mistakes, God is still there, leading and loving us.
In Deuteronomy 7, Elder Wardlaw declared, “I want ALL that God has for me!” and challenged us to desire the same. Too often we want God’s blessings while still doing things our own way. God’s promises come through God’s plan. We cannot blame God for situations created by our own choices.
Today’s challenge was clear:
✅ Stop blaming everyone else for your mess.
✅ Give it to God.
✅ Get and stay in His Word.
✅ Stop putting God on the sidelines and put Him FIRST.
We were reminded that although God loves us, He still corrects His children. We cannot continue doing our own thing and expect different results. It’s time to get our act together, turn things around, and follow God’s direction.
Most importantly, Elder reminded us that the altar is still open! God’s mercies are new every morning. No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, there is still room for repentance, restoration, and a fresh start.
🔥 Closing Charge:
“Go claim your blessing!”
Let’s examine ourselves, obey God’s voice, and pursue everything He has prepared for us. Check yourself before you wreck yourself! God has blessings waiting for those who will trust Him, obey Him, and put Him first. 🙌❤️
