Bishop Wardlaw, we thank you for your love, leadership, prayers, faithfulness, sacrifice, and dedication to God’s people. Thank you for preaching the Word, standing firm in the faith, and continually pointing us toward Jesus. You are truly a shepherd after God’s heart and a tremendous blessing to New Birth! 🙏🏾

We give thanks for the life and ministry of Apostle Herbert Edwards. He lived a life wholly devoted to God’s people. Whether through a powerful
Sunday message, a quiet prayer in a hospital room, or constant leadership, he showed us what it means to walk in faith. Though we grieve this profound loss, we take comfort in the legacy of love and truth he left behind.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Pastor Emeritus, Apostle Herbert Edwards Sr.

Please keep Lady Claudia Edwards, his family, our church family, and loved ones in your prayers during this difficult time.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” - 2 Timothy 4:7

🙌🏾❤️ TWO SUNDAYS. TWO POWERFUL WORDS. ONE FAITHFUL GOD! ❤️🙌🏾

We thank God for the powerful Word that has gone forth these last two Sundays at New Birth Apostolic Church! From Friends & Family Day to 4th Sunday Worship, God has continued to speak, challenge, encourage, and remind us to keep moving forward in Him! 🙌🏾🔥

“DON’T LET GO UNTIL HE BLESSES YOU!”
📖 Genesis 32:17–32

Through the story of Jacob, we were reminded that God can take our past, our struggles, and even the things we don’t understand and work them out for His glory!

Jacob reached a place where he had to separate himself, get alone with God, and HOLD ON!

🔥 Grab hold to JESUS and don’t let go!
🔥 Let go of anything—or anyone—keeping you from where God wants to take you.
🔥 Don’t worry about people talking about you—they talked about Jesus too!
🔥 God can change you, shape you, and bring you through as pure gold!
🔥 GOD’S GOT YOU!

Your struggle isn’t the end of your story. Hold on to Jesus!

🔥 Elder Leon Wardlaw preached:

“CAN GOD DEPEND ON YOU? / A GOOD STEWARD”
📖 Luke 16:1–13 | Luke 12:42–44 | 1 Corinthians 4:2

Elder Wardlaw challenged us to examine what we are doing with everything God has placed in our hands.

God has given us gifts, resources, opportunities, time, and influence—and He expects us to be GOOD STEWARDS!

🔥 We are called to promote GOD!
🔥 Use wisdom!
🔥 Use the resources God has given you for GOOD!
🔥 Don’t allow money to ruin your life!
🔥 Be faithful over what God has entrusted to you!

📖 “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” — 1 Corinthians 4:2 KJV

And then came the question we all have to answer:

CAN GOD DEPEND ON YOU?

Elder Wardlaw closed with a powerful charge:

🔥 “GET RIGHT! GET OUT OF THE PAST AND MOVE FORWARD! GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER!”

What a connection between these two Sundays!

This Sunday: GET RIGHT AND MOVE FORWARD! 🔥

Hold on to Jesus, let go of what is holding you back, be faithful with what God has given you, and MOVE FORWARD!

We thank God for our leaders, our church family, our guests, and most of all for a Word that continues to meet us right where we are. ❤️🙌🏾
