Usually, I regret it when I forget to mute my headset microphone, but Sunday I was grateful that it caught this moment. As part of their confirmation journey, several of our young people served communion for the first time. They learned why we come to the Lord's table. They practiced the movement. They rehearsed the words because the words are important: "the body of Christ given for you." They asked appropriate questions, "what if I drop the whole tray?" They were prepared and we were blessed by the grace of God that flowed through them to us. Turn the volume up.

Zion United Methodist Church, Anderson, SC is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant (15 hours per week)

Position Overview: The Administrative Assistant is to coordinate and carry out the clerical and administrative operations of the church as directed by the Pastor. The Administrative Assistant will also serve as church receptionist and perform administrative tasks to help with the needs of the public and congregation.

Responsibilities: This position will support the Pastor and other staff positions of the church with a variety of important administrative and coordinating efforts as well as serve as a primary contact for visitors and others who may need information about the church.
