Please welcome our new Interim Youth Pastor, Meaghan Christiansen. She officially began Sunday, May 24. Meaghan graduated from AU in December and is now attending the School of Theology. Meaghan is excited to share her love of Jesus and build relationships with our students. She will be working with the Youth through September at Labor Day Camp. We are happy to see what God will do in this next season of youth ministry at South!

We are pleased to announce that we have selected an Interim Youth Pastor. We first posted the position in the fall, but only now found the right person. After meeting with our Youth Leaders and the Elders, the position was offered to Meaghan Christiansen. Meaghan graduated from AU in December and is now attending the School of Theology. She will officially begin this Sunday, May 24. This position is planned to go through Labor Day Camp in September. Meaghan is excited to share her love of Jesus and build relationships with our students. We are happy to see what God will do in this next season of youth ministry at South!

At a neighborhood event last week, neighbors were invited to finish the sentence “I will spread kindness in our neighborhood by…” 26 people identified and committed to actions of kindness, and traded their completed sentence for a “kindness is free” t-shirt (an idea initiated by another neighbor last year!)

Tomorrow, May 16, is Good Neighbor Day America, one of the ways this country is acknowledging its 250th anniversary. Another great excuse to find a way to bring kindness and neighborliness into YOUR community!!
