Jesus is the Prince of Peace, but that does not mean that peace is universal across the world.

Pastor Jamie reminded us on Sunday that:
1. There is peace available with God through Jesus.
2. There is peace between brother's & sisters in the church through the Spirit's work.
3. The way of the cross does bring peace - partially now, and later in full.

In a world full of chaos, the peace of Jesus can be triumphant in out lives!

During June & July, Pre-K through 6th Grade kids will be joining their families in the main worship service for family worship.

We believe it is important and helpful for your children to see what it looks like to worship God through song, prayer, and listening to the preaching of God's Word.

Pastor Zack has set up a special Hope Kids table in the Worship Center with activity/coloring sheets for younger kids and sermon notes sheets for older kids to help them engage in the service.

Completed sheets can be turned in to earn points toward a summer prize — just drop them in the tray on the back table or show them to Pastor Zack after service so we can keep track!

We hope this summer is a blessing to you and your family as you worship together. We're happy to have your kids with us, and we're thankful to see so many children in our church!

Will you take a few minutes today to pray for the team from Hope Church that is preparing to leave for the Go Trip to the Dominican Republic in just under a month?

They will be serving with our global partners at Freedom International Ministries. We'll share more details over the coming weeks so you can continue to pray in specific ways for this team!

“Everything that the church has held onto and proclaimed that is beautiful, right, and true about Jesus will one day be vindicated.”

Pastor Jamie’s words from Sunday's sermon encourage us this week to hold fast to the truth and remain faithful in moments of pressure in our lives.

We were challenged by Pastor Ryan in Sunday’s sermon from Matthew 10 to remember that “The point of ministry is not to be safe all the time.”

Instead, by God’s design, we are called “Sheep in the midst of wolves.” Sheep don’t have many natural defenses, and they’re not brilliant. Yet, he calls us sheep - probably for many reasons, but here are two:

1. The only way sheep make it through in the midst of wolves is if they depend on the shepherd. Jesus designs ministry this way so we don’t stray too far from him.
2. When the kingdom advances through sheep, it brings untold glory to God.

So, in the midst of trials and persecution, remember that we’re not there by accident. The point of ministry is not to be safe but to trust in Jesus and bring glory to God. Our labor is not in vain!

Our students had fun celebrating the end of the school year on Sunday! They chose the theme "USA," and had fun dressing up in red, white, and blue, playing games, and most of all, spending time in the Word & growing together.

Some of the top prizes at the party included:
✅ Being DJ on the way to the Summer Retreat in July.
✅ Picking out an outfit from Goodwill that Pastor Zack has to wear at Holiday World during the Summer Retreat.
✅ Choosing a phrase that Pastor Zack has to use in a future sermon.

We're thankful for all of our students and Pastor Zack's leadership!

Has your child signed up for the Hope Students' Summer Retreat yet? If not, it's not too late! You can register your child at https://www.hopeanderson.org/events

We’re thankful for this reminder from Pastor Jamie on Sunday regarding walking out the Christian life together. We should be discipling one another consistently. This is essential for our own spiritual lives and for the life of the church!

✨Join us on Sunday, May 17th for Discover Hope✨

If you've been attending for a while and you've attended Hope Connect, or you're ready to and learn about getting involved, Discover Hope is your next step towards Ministry Partnership!

At Discover Hope, we'll cover:
1. What we believe
2. How the Bible directly connects to our philosophy of ministry
3. How the beliefs and values play out in the life of Hope Church

Stay after the Worship Service on May 17th for a light lunch as we outline how you can become more involved and be a part of the story God is writing at Hope Church.
