Save the date for the EVERYTHING Sale on April 9 & 10.

Funds raised will support a new and upcoming project in Siliguri, India. The Stop Trafficking Before It Begins project partners with the Church of God in Siliguri, West Bengal, India—a region bordering Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Nepal—where poverty, unemployment, migration, and the collapse of tea plantations have fueled a severe human trafficking crisis. This project will train and equip lay leaders and youth representatives from eight rural districts in West Bengal, India to conduct awareness programs for parents, screen educational films, visit schools, and form vigilance groups in high-risk areas—empowering communities to recognize and prevent trafficking before it starts. The total cost for the project is $6,900.

Come join us on April 2 as we remember and celebrate the love of Jesus Christ through Communion and the service of Footwashing. These important experiences help us grasp the significance of Jesus’ love to us, and our call to live this love out to those around us.

We hope you will join us for this special service of Jesus’ love during our Holy Week celebration starting at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

The Thursday before Easter is known as “Maundy Thursday” because it commemorates and celebrates Jesus’ Last Supper and his washing of his disciples’ feet. The word “maundy” comes from the Latin words mandatum novum or “new commandment,” taken from Jesus’ words, “A new commandment I give unto you: that you love one another” (John 13:34).

We hope you will join us for this special service of Jesus’ love during our Holy Week celebration.

If you are a caregiver for a loved one, you may find it helpful to attend the Caregivers Group at Park Place Church. This is a confidential, self-help group that provides mutual support, helpful information and coping methods for people who might benefit. The group meets every other week on Wednesdays at 2:00pm. We meet in Rm 134 just down the hall from the church office.

The next meeting of the group will be March 25 at 2pm. You can just show up or, if you would like more information, you may contact Don Allbaugh at 765-274-8586 or Gail Smith at 765-621-3154.
