Dear addict,

I know you’re misunderstood. I know people are pushing and prodding you to get the help you need. You’re TORN. I know it’s easier for them to say it than for you to do it. I know you wake up with a madness in between your ears most of these people will never understand. I know why you use and I know that everyday there is no option to get well. It’s a must. The nightmare I fight is knowing that you have to get well, but also knowing today to get well means you may die. These fake/pressed pills they have on the streets are killing us. I wanted you to know I love you and I understand why you do what you do. You’re not a bad person. You’re a sick person needing to get well. Here’s my hand. Grab it!! From one addict to another I want you to know I found a substitute for using that has brought me great freedom. I’d like for you to have it as well!
