Over $450 million in prison labor every year.
Slavery may look different today, but it still exists in many forms.

At Link Outside, we believe real change begins by reconnecting people to Allah — because a society that knows its Creator is less likely to exploit, dehumanize, and destroy one another. True freedom begins in becoming servants of Allah, not servants to systems, desires, or this dunya.

Support Link Outside, in bringing guidance, mentorship, and hope behind the walls.

Rashaad Muhammad spoke to the press about crying out for help while even those around him could see something was wrong.

Sometimes the tragedy is not only the suffering itself — but how many people stand by and watch it unfold.

At Link Outside, we are trying to be proactive before people completely break — offering spiritual support, guidance, visitation, and human connection to those too often forgotten behind prison walls.

May Allah bring healing to those who suffer in silence and awaken our hearts to serve with compassion and urgency. Āmīn.

Tobias Tubbs served life in prison and came home in 2018. While incarcerated, he became an imam and a source of guidance for others behind the walls.

With support from Link Outside, his journey continued beyond prison — through reentry, Umrah, and serving the community from the minbar.

Prison walls. Economic struggle. Race. Culture. Trauma. Society separates people in countless ways.

But Islam calls humanity back to one source.

Part of Malcolm X’s legacy after Hajj was realizing that sincere faith could unite people beyond color and class. At Link Outside, we hope to continue carrying that spirit — helping hearts reconnect through faith, knowledge, and brotherhood.

“O mankind, We created you from a male and female and made you peoples and tribes so that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous.”
— Qur’an 49:13

Sahih was sentenced to 50 years to life.

By Allah’s mercy, he came home — and began rebuilding his life with faith, purpose, and support.

Today, he is an artist, a husband, and a father. His story is a reminder that reentry is not just about release. It is about walking with brothers as they rebuild their lives, reconnect with community, and continue growing in Islam.

Link Outside supports Muslims in prison and brothers returning home through prison visits, Islamic literature, mentorship, spiritual development, reentry support, and opportunities like Umrah.

Rashaad Muhammad stood before the board and spoke about the neglect that cost him parts of his body.

No one should be abandoned to that level of suffering.
At Link Outside, we not only fight so people don’t lose their physical limbs — we fight so they don’t lose their spiritual ones too: their hope, dignity, faith, and connection to humanity.

May Allah rectify his affairs, heal his heart and body, and make his struggle a means of light for others. Āmīn.

Some people see a prison rec room.
We see men fighting to reclaim their souls.
Behind concrete walls and steel bars, prayer still rises. Sometimes true greatness is simply a man choosing Allah over despair.

This is the work of Link Outside. Help us continue bringing light, knowledge, and support to those forgotten by society.

At 18, Ricky Jackson was sent to prison.

At 59, he came home to a world he barely recognized.
His story reflects the pain many Black and brown communities have carried through injustice, discrimination, and broken systems.

At Link Outside, we work to ensure people returning home are met with dignity, spiritual support, and a path toward healing — not abandonment.

After Hajj, Malcolm X returned as El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, finding the reality of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — an Islam rooted in mercy, brotherhood, discipline, and truth.

That transformation came through guidance, sincere companionship, and sacred knowledge.

At Link Outside, we strive to serve that same role for the forgotten behind prison walls — helping people discover the depth, balance, and beauty of Islam while rebuilding their understanding of life, purpose, and themselves.

Support the mission. Help us continue bringing light into dark places.
