Meet Claire from our Bellflower campus! ❤️
Claire serves on the Worship Team as a vocalist and guitarist, and she also loves helping with Production. She started serving at Eastside in January 2022 after someone encouraged her to join the Worship Team.
For Claire, saying yes to serving became about so much more than using her gifts.
“I’m so grateful that I said yes because through serving, I found a church home and a community that I love. Being able to use something God gave me to help lead people toward Him is such a special feeling.”
And that community has been there for Claire through some of life’s harder seasons, too.
“There was a difficult season when I honestly wondered if I should stop serving. I felt unqualified and questioned whether I was good enough to be doing it. But God kept reminding me that He doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. I’m grateful for the people God placed around me who encouraged me not to give up, because serving ended up being one of the things that helped carry me through that season.”
That’s one of the beautiful things about serving: the people you show up with can become the people you laugh with, grow with, and lean on through both the best and hardest seasons.
For Claire, serving is also about helping people encounter Jesus.
“Whenever I’m onstage worshipping, my prayer is always that people would see Jesus before they ever see me.”
