Change Maker Spotlight
When Domenica first came to church, she remembers what it felt like to walk into a place not knowing anyone, not knowing what to believe, and wondering where she belonged.
But someone noticed her.
“One person took the time to see me, talk to me, and guide me without judgment. That moment stayed with me.”
Now, Domenica serves on the Host Team and leads a Young Adults Small Group, helping create that same kind of welcome for others at Eastside.
“I realized how much one welcoming person can change everything, and I wanted to be that for someone else.”
For Domenica, serving is often found in the small moments - a smile, a hello, a simple conversation that helps someone feel seen and valued.
“I wanted people to feel noticed, welcomed, and reminded that they are deeply loved by God.”
And through serving, God has continued shaping her too.
“Serving has deepened my faith in a real way. I’ve learned that ministry isn’t just what happens on stage, but in the small interactions that can change someone’s entire direction.”
One thing Domenica wants others to know?
“You don’t have to have everything figured out to serve. God can use your story — even the messy or uncertain parts — to impact someone else.”
Thank you, Domenica, for helping people feel like they belong from the moment they walk through the doors. 💛
You never know how one small act of kindness could impact someone’s story.
