Some daughters say,
“It’s not my problem if someone harms me because of how they feel about what I’m wearing.”
But is it really that simple?
That’s like saying:
– “I stood in traffic wearing black at night — and it’s the driver’s fault if they hit me.”
– “I left my house unlocked in a high-theft area — and only the thief is to blame.”
– “I walked into a hornet’s nest and blamed the hornets for stinging me.”
No, it’s not her fault if someone does wrong. But wisdom means avoiding harm, not just avoiding blame.
📖 Surah 33:59 says:
“O Prophet, tell your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers to cover themselves... that they may be recognized and not harmed.”
That’s not shame.
That’s not control.
That’s a protection from Allah.
And that’s why mothers keep having this conversation — out of love, not restriction.
