The retreat will be held at Dry Creek Baptist Encampment on September 10-12. There will be more communication happening in the near future regarding areas of service. The Simple Man’s Image

This image carries a strong message of God’s Word (the open Bible), the cross (Christ-centered life), and the hammer (building, refining, and working with purpose).

1. God’s Word as the foundation

* “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105
* “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16

2. Christ at the center (the cross)

* “For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” — 1 Corinthians 2:2

3. The hammer / building / sharpening imagery
