SUNDAY RECAP 🙌🏾🔥

Still thinking about the powerful Word that poured through the life of Bishop D.A. Sherron today! 🧡

Every scripture challenged us.
Every declaration strengthened us.
Every moment reminded us that God is still speaking to His people.

We left encouraged, convicted, and expecting greater. When the Word is preached with power, lives are changed! 🙏🏾✨

“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” 💯

At Hollywood we are grateful for leaders who continue to preach Christ, inspire faith, and point us toward the Kingdom.

If you missed it, don’t miss what God is doing next! Catch the replay of today’s DYNAMIC Word, “The Wait Is Over!”

Did you know a significant early Black bishop in the US was Roman Catholic, not Protestant? Bishop James Augustine Healy was consecrated in 1853, right in the midst of the Second Great Awakening.

Before the Civil War, the Methodist Church split over slavery. Northern Methodists became abolitionists, while Southern Methodists supported slavery. After the war, the Southern Methodist Episcopal Church allowed its Black members to form the Colored Methodist Episcopal Church.
