On Friday, June 27th, at 6:00 p.m., we will have our now-annual visit from the UMASS summer exchange students from Pakistan. Most of these students have little to no exposure to Jews or Jewish practice, and we always hear from the program organizers that the JCA visit is a highlight of the program for the students. Many JCA congregants who attend have said the same thing.

After the service, we share a meal with the students, and then there will be an open and frank question-and-discussion session.

This service will be held in the courtyard at the JCA. There will not be Zoom access available. If there is inclement weather we will make a call to shift the service indoors by Thursday evening and a notice will go out to the community.

The third Friday of the month is our signature Shabbat service featuring a full congregational band, an array of melodies, and spirited singing and dancing. It is followed by a community dinner.
Led by Chazzan Diana Brewer and the JCA Ne'imah Band.

In addition to the usual opportunity to join with our band for a festive, highly musical Kabbalat Shabbat service, we will also be making use of the evening to honor the many volunteers who have contributed so much time and energy to making the JCA the warm and participatory community that it is. Whether you are a volunteer and/or want to express deep gratitude for the work of volunteers, please come along and join us for the service, the meal, and appreciative remarks.
