Mind Matters – Mental Health Matters 🧠❤️

Over the past several weeks at New Beginnings, we’ve been walking through conversations that many people carry quietly but deeply. We’ve talked about having the courage to reveal so we can heal, depression, anxiety, grief, and the reality that our minds matter because people matter.

One thing we’ve been reminded of is this: struggling doesn’t make you weak. It makes you human. The Bible is full of real people with real burdens, real fears, real grief, and real exhaustion. God never tells us to pretend everything is fine. He invites us to bring it to Him.

This Sunday we continue with a topic many of us know all too well: Burn Out Matters.

Sometimes life moves from full…to overloaded. We keep pushing, keep carrying, keep serving, keep surviving until eventually we discover we’re running on fumes. We’ll look at the story of Elijah and discover what burnout is, what it looks like, and what God’s way back can be.

If you’ve been tired, overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or just trying to hold it all together, this message is for you.

Mind Matters: Grief Matters
Growing Through It, Not Just Going Through It

Grief is not weakness. Grief is not failure. Grief is not a lack of faith.

Grief is the normal human response to loss.

This Sunday, we continue our Mind Matters series by talking honestly about grief — what it is, how it affects us, and how God meets us in the process of mourning.

Grief is what happens inside of us.
Mourning is how we give that grief expression.

Or said another way:

Grief is the music. Mourning is the dance.

Jesus said, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” This Sunday, we will look at how the Bible helps us mourn well, so that by God’s grace, we can grow through grief — not just go through it.

Join us this Sunday at New Beginnings Church as we continue creating grace-filled connections and sharing the love of Jesus everywhere we go.
