Restoration Church

Restoration Church We meet on Sundays at Paper Moon Vineyards (2008 State Road in Vermillion, OH) at 10:30am. Don't know how to disciple someone? We will equip you!

We gather together (Hebrews 1-:23-25), get equipped (1Timothy 3:16-17), and make disciples (Matt. 28:18-20). Restoration Church is a network of small churches that often meet in homes. We are Reformed Baptist (1689) in doctrine and have a high value for Scripture. As a church, there are a few things we do together:

Make Disciples
The singular mission of the Church is to make disciples. Sadly, mo

st modern Christians have never been discipled, nor have they ever discipled another person. Restoration sees this as a serious problem, so we have placed obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19--20) as a high priority. Gather Together
Restoration Church is really a network of house churches that meet in homes all over the world. Each House Church seeks to plant another house church every year using Jesus' model from Luke 10. This allows us to equip every follower of Jesus to make more followers of Jesus, maximizing our resources and reflecting the First Century Church as much as possible. Get Equipped
We wanted to provide advanced training in Bible study methods, theology, apologetics, evangelism, discipleship, house church planting and facilitation, practical ministry, and more. So, we created Underground Seminary. It is a FREE to everyone in our church, and it is designed to give you better-than-seminary equipping in the form of graduate level study.

Today was a free day, so our team joined a few others and explored Chugach National Forest, including Portage Glacier Boat Tour and Byron Glacier Trail. We took more pictures of mountains and icy water than strictly necessary and loved every moment of the beautiful day God gave us!

Christy, Hannah, and Keagan will fly out to begin their journey home late tonight. Please pray for them as they have a long day of travel tomorrow. The rest of us will be here a few more days, so pray for our travels home as well. We can’t wait to see everyone and we’ll tell you all about this adventure next Sunday! Thank you for all your prayers and support that made this mission happen. May God receive all glory!

Ministry can be so so good and also hurt quite a bit at the same time. That was our experience today.
Our morning started with Chapel and Noah represented our group well as he shared about our experience working with the community at Richardson Vista this week

After lunch, we went to the park for the last time. Once again the kids were waiting for us, including a birthday boy - Jesse turned 10 today! Pray for his heart to be turned to Jesus. He couldn’t stay the whole time and we missed having him with us today, but we were happy that we got to sing him happy birthday at least!
For the rest of the day we played games, crafted, and had snacks. Hannah taught about the 12 spies who were sent to check out the Promised Land. There were only two who trusted God completely. We again encouraged the kids to trust in the Lord with all their heart. She was able to use Kayley’s salvation bracelets to share the Gospel and it was great to see that most of the kids seemed to be listening. She did a great job! And shout out to Kayley for supporting us to share the Gospel in this way!
As the afternoon continued, Sam got the opportunity to talk through the Gospel more clearly with Jayzee, a little girl he connected with, and she prayed for Jesus to come into her heart! Praise the Lord! And not long after, Adam and Keagan were talking with Casper, a young man who had come for the first time, and he gave his life over as well! Hallelujah! God is good!
This evening we had the opportunity to see Eklutna Lake and talk through our final team debrief. It was beautiful and a sweet time of fellowship together

Pray for the community at Richardson Vista. It was heartbreaking to say goodbye to these children and teens and not know when or if we’ll see them again. Pray specifically for Jayzee and Casper, our new sister and brother in Christ - that they would be discipled and grow in their new faith

It was a great day! We finally saw some sun and it brought lots of kids out to the park. Before that though, we got to serve at New Hope Compassion Ministry Center’s food bank. We helped to reorganize their shelves to prepare for their Tuesday distribution. It was fun to work together to get the jobs done and they have a great and well organized setup for feeding their community

The afternoon was a lot of fun and Keagan brought the message and the Gospel while we played a ton of games, crafted, and feasted on hot chocolate and fruit by the foot. The kids were waiting for us as we arrived and begged to come with us as we were leaving. Tomorrow is going to be rough having to say goodbye😢

Please pray for just that - the goodbyes. We’ve fallen in love with these kids and know so many of their needs and struggles. Pray for every one of them as they will hear the Gospel again tomorrow. Pray for Hannah as she leads the lesson and for every heart to be opened to the love Jesus offers

PS - after dinner we did get to go moosing again (searching for moose) and since we found several, we are officially Moosinaries - missionaries who go moosing!

This morning the team took a tough hike up Blueberry Hill where there was some more amazing scenery. Adam served on the worship team as we gathered for Chapel, and then it was time to go back to the park

We had a lot of kids today, with some more new faces! We played a lot of baseball and did a lot of crafting, but the highlight was Noah sharing the lesson about Joshua and the Israelites marching around Jericho and the walls falling, their obedience giving them victory!

After the park, the team opted to go out for pizza, which was delicious, and then we went moosing again. Sadly we did not find any moose this time

Continue to pray for us as we try to share the Bible lessons and the Gospel each day. These kids are sweet and a lot of fun, but they don’t really sit long enough for an entire message. Tomorrow Keagan will share the message and we will try again to share the Gospel. Pray for them to hear and believe!

Today was long, but greatly rewarding!
We got to start the day with a hike to Barbara Falls, upper and lower, and the views were beautiful! On the way back we did see a moose running along the highway, but we weren’t quick enough with our cameras😕

This afternoon we met some new kids, played more games and did more crafting, but the highlight of the day was our park party!

We loaded up the trailer and set up at the park with a grill and popcorn machine, nail polish and face paint, and all kinds of games. Lots of people showed up and the rain paused for the first hour, thankfully! We had a ton of fun and Sam shared the Gospel at the end of our time. We got meet a lot of new people, including some parents, and hope to see more kids when we return to the park tomorrow

Please pray for these families. Pray for any who were listening to Sam this evening to consider what they heard and to pray even tonight for Jesus to take over their lives and heal them, body, soul, and spirit. Let them be like little Lilly who told us clearly, “I believe Jesus!”

Finally, pray for us to rest and recover well tonight. Pray for supernatural energy and healing where there is any pain. And pray that we would persist in sharing the Gospel, even when it feels like no one is listening. Let us continue to faithful proclaim that Jesus is Lord and King!

Hello from Alaska!
Our first full day of ministry started with our team helping to clean after meals all day, orientation after breakfast, and then a Walmart run before lunch. It was raining all day, but we went to our park anyway - Richardson Vista - and got to meet 6 kids. We made bracelets and paper “stained glass”, played some sports, and talked about how we need to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not depend on our own understanding

After cleaning up we did a prayer drive (rather than prayer walk because of the rain) and returned for dinner. We got to explore a little after dinner and went searching for moose and seeing some local spots where Adam spent time during his summer here!

We were finally successful finding moose, but kinda got locked into the park! Thankfully a kind university officer was driving by and helped us out😂

Pray for the kids we met today - Jason, Jazee, Mae, Zaiah, Isa, and John - they have stuff going on their lives that isn’t easy. Pray for their salvations and for the peace and comfort of the Lord Jesus to be with them. Pray for our day tomorrow; we get to do our park party and should meet some parents and other adults in the community

It’s been a loooong day of travel (and we’re still going!), but we’ve landed safely in Anchorage and are on our way to our home for the week

We had a wonderful time exploring the market in Seattle and it was good to spend some time together as we prepare to serve this week

Pray for us to recover well and quickly from our travel and for Gospel opportunities this week
