The battle is on. You did not ask for it but it has come upon you. The enemy is coming, he wants ground, he wants spoils, and he wants you. If the enemy can make you his servant he will be glad for that. If he destroys you he does not care and is pleased either way. He is pleased with himself and your demise.
I am reminded of the story of Lot being taken by the kings who fought against S***m and Gomorah. Lot was taken by the enemy and all his possessions. Nevertheless, there was Abraham. Abraham had gotten word of the situation and took immediate action to salvage the life of his kin. Abraham with armed servants chases, battles, disbands the enemy and takes back the people, the spoils, and frees Lot.
What heroism Abraham shows. His compassion for his family caused him to rise up and do what was needed. It is not told that Abraham was a warrior but he becomes one for the sake of his family.
Thank the Lord, Jehovah, (the Father, the Son, the Spirit) that He arises and becomes our warrior, He is sword, He is shield. He protects. He salvages. Moses tells us who God is in Exodus 15:3. We are encouraged in 2Chronicles 20:15, who the battle belongs to. But David here too says, "teaches my hands to war". We are in the thick of the fight, we fight, and God is our shield. Trust Jehovah in the war, battle, fight, and look for the victory.
