Fellowship Baptist Church, Americus, GA We do missions and service through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) and CBF of Georgia, as well as through local avenues of outreach.

Constituted on May 27, 1973, Fellowship Baptist Church embraced the principles of open membership, the priesthood of every believer and congregational government. We conceive the priesthood of the believer to mean that each person is not only a priest before God (has direct access to God) but also a priest to others (has responsibility to care for others). We believe congregational government not

only provides opportunity for participation in the decisions of the church but also involves responsibility for the church’s ministry. The members of Fellowship seek a balance between a church that enjoys good fellowship and one that takes worship, service, and ministry seriously. We do missions and service through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF), the CBF of Georgia, as well as through local avenues of outreach.

Thanks to everyone who brought items in support of the Sumter Humane Society. March Missions will focus on helping build affordable housing for a family in Ben Hill County. This project is in partnership with Together for Hope, the Fuller Center for Housing and CBF of Georgia. Stay tuned for more details and ways we will be helping.

Church announcements (as of January 8th). We will be hosting our first dinner of 2026 at the Friendship Shelter on Monday, January 12th at 6pm. Please make plans to join us. Bring something for an Italian meal.

Looking forward, our monthly covered dish will be held Wednesday, January 21st. We will celebrate our January birthdays and our very own Saranne Peacock will be leading our program. You won't want to miss a lovely evening of fellowship, good food and Saranne's poetry.

As a reminder, there will be no Wednesday night Bible study and prayer meeting this Wednesday, December 31st, as we celebrate New Year’s Eve. We will resume our regular Wednesday schedule on January 7th.

We will have a candlelight Christmas Eve service this Wednesday night, December 24th at 5 PM. Join us as we worship on one of the most holy days of the year. We happily invite our family, friends and neighbors to worship with us. We will celebrate the gift of our Savior through scripture readings and song. Please join us.
