A message from Mark Vander Tuig for our 3rd and final day of intercession and prayer. Looking forward to our worship service this evening at 7:00 PM - hope to see you all there.

Day Three, Three days of Prayer: Prayer for Vision. Jesus said to the disciples, “come, follow me”. This is a call to move, to walk, to follow where Jesus is leading the way. In many ways the church in America has become stationary. Where are you heading, where is God leading your church, what is the Spirit calling you to be? Today we come before God and ask again to lead, guide and direct His people, we ask for vision. “Without vision, the people perish” Proverbs 29: 18 The NIV says it this way, “where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint”. Our congregations have been called out for a reason, we are not planted in our communities by accident.

A message from Mark Vander Tuig on our second day of intercession and prayer:

Mark writes: Day Two, Three Days of Prayer: Petitions. I Timothy 2: 1 "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—". I Peter 5: 7 "Cast all your anxiety on Him, for He cares about you". When Jesus taught the disciples how to pray, he included "daily bread". We are free to come to our heavenly Father with every concern and every need. Today, as a day of petition, we pray for our friends, family, members of our congregations, pastors, leaders, and everything else as the Spirit brings them to mind. I encourage you also to pray for your congregation...as a Body of Christ there are things we all face that need our prayer. "Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer"!

God's blessings to you all as we join our voices with God's children around the world.

All are invited to join Shepherd of the Falls Lutheran Church tomorrow, Sunday November 2 at our 9:30 a.m. worship service when the Holy Spirit gathers us to celebrate All Saints Day. In our celebration of this Christian Feast, anyone who is mourning the loss of a loved one will be invited to light a candle and place it on the altar in their memory. Come and join us as we praise God for sending Jesus our Savior whose redeeming work for us and our loved ones makes us saints. Christ makes us saints not because we are without sin, but because the holiness of our Lord Jesus is so powerful that it covers up and wipes away all our sins and all our shortcomings. (1 Corinthians. 1:30)
