esterday morning, Pastor Shayne Walters continued our “Why I” series with a message titled “Why I Pray.”

Together, we went directly to Scripture and focused on the way Jesus taught His followers to pray and what prayer truly means. We were reminded that prayer isn’t about saying the right words or following a formula—it’s about having a relationship with our Heavenly Father, seeking His will, and trusting Him daily.

As we celebrated Father’s Day, Pastor Shayne also challenged fathers to be prayer warriors and spiritual leaders for their families, leading by example and building homes founded on faith and prayer.

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that reminds us of the value of freedom, the dignity of every person, and the faithfulness of God through every generation.

As we honor this important day in our nation’s history, we also celebrate the hope and unity found in Jesus Christ, who brings true freedom and reconciliation. May we continue to love one another, seek justice, and reflect God’s heart in all we do.
