The Lord still heals!

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The word "boldly" seems to stand in such stark contrast to the words "grace" and "mercy" and "need." If we are so NEEDY that we are seeking MERCY and GRACE, how can we come so BOLDLY?

But while "boldly" does indicate confidence, it is not a brazen confidence that demands. It is rather the confidence that a son has in a compassionate father - the confidence that speaks "freely, openly, plainly, frankly, bluntly" - the confidence that does not require eloquent oratory, but only a frank expression of need. When we want to say it just right, and can't figure out how... we can simply spit it out with full confidence that the Lord understands completely and perfectly what we mean ... AND what we really need.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

He "careth" (is concerned) for YOU with that perfect love that casts out fear; and truly, the fear that we won't express it just right, or that we are troublesome or a bother to him, is a fear that keeps us from coming "boldly".

He wants to hear from you today. Tell it to Jesus. He understands not just what you say, but what you mean and what you feel!
