Grace Church was founded by Pastor Bill Gehm, his wife, and a small group of believers in 1985. Coming out of a church which had just collapsed, Pastor Bill was led to teach through the Bible to continue feeding the sheep that God would bring to Him. What started out as a small Bible study in a Lock-shop, then moved into a local YMCA for 7 years. The Lord was faithful to eventually provide our gro
wing church with its own facilities on Amarillo Boulevard, which we occupied for 12 years. During our time on Amarillo Boulevard, in 2000, We became affiliated with the Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Churches. Pastor Chuck Smith and the Calvary Chapel leadership have continued to have a major influence on our Pastor and the church body to this day. A few years later, Pastor Bill sensed God calling our body out into a radical transformation. We spent about 7 months meeting for services in a tent that we purchased as a temporary space while we sold our building on Amarillo Boulevard and moved into our current location on 4111 Plains Blvd. Our story continues on, while we remodel “the old grocery store” into the church building it is today. The years following our transition to our current location have been full and blessed. We also celebrated the 25th anniversary of Grace in February 2010. Pastor Bill and the body of Grace Church are excited for the future and what Jesus holds in store for us. We are only getting started!
