Brother Knight Adrian Gonzalez is featured on Team Ronald McDonald House Amarillo! Check it out and let's cheer for him!!!
We have so many amazing runners who will be representing our House, families, and community via Team Ronald McDonald House Amarillo at this year's Bank of America Chicago Marathon coming up next month! And it's our pleasure to introduce them to you so you can help cheer them on!
Tonight we want you to meet Adrian Gonzales! Adrian is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) right here in Amarillo. As one of the World Majors, running the Chicago Marathon has been on Adrian's bucket list since he got into running after COVID. And he's excited to get to do it while raising money and support for families of sick and injured children in our area!
Adrian currently serves as the VP of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), is a member of the Knights of Columbus 1450, and previously volunteered as a loaned executive with United Way in his past life working for the USPS.
Outside of work and running, Adrian enjoys working out, spending time with his family, and rooting on his daughter on the Varsity cheer squad.
While this will be Adrian's first time running the Chicago Marathon he is no stranger to races - he has already run the Houston Marathon 2x, the OKC Memorial Half Marathon earlier this year and completed a number of 5Ks and 10Ks.
"I love having an upcoming race to keep me motivated with my training."
Help us cheer on Adrian has he pounds 26.2 miles of pavement for RMH families and show him some love by donating to his fundraiser to support our mission here: https://give.ronaldmcdonaldhouse.org/fundraiser/7447985
