Our thoughts define who we are, serving as the fertile ground from which our words and deeds grow. In this first article of our new series, "Meditate on These Things," we explore what it means to focus our minds on whatever things are true — starting with the truth of God the Father, His unchanging Word, and His Son, Jesus Christ. Join us as we choose to rise above the noise and negativity of this world by centering our hearts on eternal truth.

The Christian life is not a destination, but a path of purposeful action and intentional growth. As we conclude our series, we explore what it means to be "even more diligent" in making our call and election sure. Join us as we look toward the promise of an abundant entrance into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We have reached the conclusion of our series through 2 Peter 1:1–11. We began this journey by looking at the foundation of our faith and the grace and peace provided by God, and we have spent many weeks considering the seven qualities we are to add to that foundation. “Therefore, brethren, be ev...

Spiritual growth is not a "once and done" achievement, but a lifelong cycle of drawing closer to Christ. When we ensure that virtue, knowledge, and love are not just present but increasing in our lives, we guard ourselves against spiritual blindness and move toward a fruitful, effective walk with our King. Join us as we explore the vital difference between a stagnant faith and a life that truly abounds in the nature of God.

We are nearing the conclusion of our series of studies through Peter’s blueprint for growth (2 Peter 1:1-11). Having examined the individual qualities of virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love, we now turn to Peter’s assessment of what happens when...

The journey through Peter’s blueprint for growth reaches its peak in the selfless, sacrificial nature of agape love. Moving beyond mere affection, we are called to imitate the heart of Christ by putting the needs of others before our own and living out our faith through daily service. Join us as we explore how this "bond of perfection" completes our character and serves as the ultimate testimony to the world.

We have reached the conclusion of Peter’s progressive list of Christian qualities in 2 Peter 1:5–7. This journey has been a path of intentional growth, building quality upon quality to reach what Paul calls the “bond of perfection.” “But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add...

Christianity was never meant to be a solo journey. As we add brotherly kindness to our faith, we move beyond individual growth to a sincere, affectionate commitment to our church family. Join us as we explore how this "sincere love of the brethren" transforms our relationships and serves as a powerful testimony to the world.

As we progress through Peter’s blueprint for growth, it is clear that this is not a progression that should take years, but a transition that happens as we diligently build our character. In this article, we consider the next quality on the list: Brotherly Kindness. “But also for this very reaso...

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
