Unfiltered: Living Raw, Real, and Redefined By Jesus
Day 1

WHAT'S IN YOUR HAND?

Today's Reading:
Exodus 3:9-14; 4:1-5

THE RAW TRUTH

Moses repeatedly responded to God’s call with a response that resembled, “Please don’t pick me. You’ve overestimated who I am.” Moses was aware of the abuse his people, the Israelites, had endured. He deeply feared Pharaoh and didn’t want to have to be the one to face him, especially with so many lives hanging in the balance. His insecurity drowned out his ability to hear what God was really saying—“Moses, I Am!” God was fully aware that Moses felt too small, too weak, and incapable of being the man for this job. However, Moses’s life is a wonderful example of a powerful truth—God can use anyone to accomplish His will. His power is made perfect in weakness (II Corinthians 12:9).

Did you know Moses classified himself as “slow of speech and tongue”? The very weakness that was a root of insecurity for him became what God wanted to use to redeem His people. God also told Moses that his brother Aaron, a good speaker, could accompany him and help him when he felt afraid. This story reminds us that God not only uses our weaknesses to glorify His name but that He also provides practical help along the way.

Wherever God is calling you, and whatever He is asking of you, let this story bring you comfort. You are equipped for the role. He is aware of your struggles. And His power is made perfect in your weakness.

GET REAL WITH YOURSELF

Why do you think God called Moses to lead the people when He knew that Moses struggled with words?

When you read these verses in Exodus, what insecurity does it make you think of in yourself?
Do you allow others to help you in your weakness like Aaron helped Moses? Can you think of a time when someone was an “Aaron” to you or when you fulfilled this role for someone else?

GET RENEWED IN PRAYER
HEY JESUS,

Thank You for always listening to me when I pray. When I talk to You, I feel myself relaxing as I remember that You are already near. Will You help me remember this story of Moses as I respond to Your voice and discern what’s next? Remind me that my weaknesses don’t scare You, for that’s precisely what You want to use to further Your Kingdom. Thank You for not getting frustrated with me when I reiterate my worry or tell You why I’m afraid—You already know what’s on my heart and mind.
Thank You for providing people in my life who are strong where I am weak. Humble my spirit so that I can recognize and receive Your provision in these places. When there is someone around me who I can help encourage, strengthen, or support - show me.
Like Moses, sometimes my insecurities speak so loudly that I struggle to hear Your voice above them. Help me remember that You are the Great I Am. When I focus on You, I regain my footing and can respond in faith.
IN JESUS'S NAME, AMEN.

Living With Enthusiasm
Day 5

Keeping the Flame Alive

Ephesians 5:18 NLT
Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit,

Maintaining enthusiasm requires intentionality. It begins by taking responsibility for our passion, staying connected with others who inspire us, and continually being filled with the Spirit.

Psalm 51:12 says, "Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.

Life can be draining, and circumstances can diminish our joy of living separated from an evil society. Therefore, we need to regularly ask the Father to restore the joy found in our relationship with Him.

Pray for God to refresh your spirit daily.

Today, choose to nurture your enthusiasm by reflecting on God’s work in your life, allowing His Spirit to keep your passion burning bright, and letting this joy carry you forward in faith.

Living With Enthusiasm
Day 4

Enthusiasm Inspires Others

Matthew 5:16 NLT
[16] In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Enthusiasm is contagious, drawing others closer to God.

Paul commended the Corinthians for their eagerness, which inspired other believers.

2 Corinthians 9:2 NLT
[2] For I know how eager you are to help, and I have been boasting to the churches in Macedonia that you in Greece were ready to send an offering a year ago. In fact, it was your enthusiasm that stirred up many of the Macedonian believers to begin giving.

When we approach life with God-fueled passion, it radiates, stirring faith in those around us.

Hebrews 10:24 reminds us to spur each other on in love and good deeds.
Hebrews 10:24 NLT
[24] Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.

Reflect on how your enthusiasm might be a light for others.

Seek opportunities today to encourage and uplift, letting your fervor for God inspire others.

Living With Enthusiasm
Day 3

Enthusiasm Energizes Us

Enthusiasm is energizing; it propels us forward.
Acts 18:25 speaks of a believer teaching with “an enthusiastic spirit,” showing how zeal fuels our actions.

Acts of the Apostles 18:24-25 NLT
[24] Meanwhile, a Jew named Apollos, an eloquent speaker who knew the Scriptures well, had arrived in Ephesus from Alexandria in Egypt. [25] He had been taught the way of the Lord, and he taught others about Jesus with an enthusiastic spirit and with accuracy. However, he knew only about John’s baptism.

Haggai 1:14 illustrates God sparking enthusiasm in His people to rebuild the temple.

Haggai 1:14 NLT
[14] So the Lord sparked the enthusiasm of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the enthusiasm of Jeshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the enthusiasm of the whole remnant of God’s people. They began to work on the house of their God, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies,

Enthusiasm for God transforms even the mundane into acts of worship.

Psalms 100:2 NLT
[2] Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy.

As believers, we should, as the old hymn goes, ...be singing as we go, pointing souls to Calvary in this world below.
Our enthusiasm of worship is a lifestyle reflection of God's saving, keeping grace that has sparked our joyful living as we journey upward to our heavenly home.

As you go through today, pray for God to infuse energy into your work, enabling you to serve Him with joy and strength, letting each task reflect His glory.

Living With Enthusiasm
Day 2

Defense Against Apathy

Apathy leaves us vulnerable to negativity, but enthusiasm builds resilience.

In Deuteronomy 28, God warns that lacking enthusiasm for Him opens the door to defeat.

Deuteronomy 28:47-48 NLT
[47] If you do not serve the Lord your God with joy and enthusiasm for the abundant benefits you have received, [48] you will serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you. You will be left hungry, thirsty, naked, and lacking in everything. The Lord will put an iron yoke on your neck, oppressing you harshly until he has destroyed you.

Revelation echoes this message, cautioning against being “lukewarm.”

Revelation 3:16 NLT
[16] But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!

Guard your heart by embracing a passionate spirit in serving God.

1 Corinthians 15:58 NLT
[58] So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

Today, examine areas where apathy may be creeping in, and ask God to renew your zeal, knowing that when we serve enthusiastically, nothing we do for the Lord is in vain.

Living With Enthusiasm
Day 1

The Source of Enthusiasm

Enthusiasm, derived from “en” (in) and “theos” (God), means “God within.” To live with enthusiasm is to be fueled by God’s Spirit. This excitement for the Lord is not just a fleeting feeling but a reflection of God’s presence in our lives.

Romans 12:11 reminds us, “Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.”

Today, consider what fuels your passion for God.

Invite His Spirit to reignite enthusiasm within you, guiding you to serve Him wholeheartedly.

As you reflect, let your actions be a testament to God’s presence in you.

Touching Heaven Changing Earth
Day 21

Touching Heaven and Earth

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” Psalm 150:6 NIV

Read Psalm 150 and Proverbs 31

When heaven touches earth, it does not always come through miracles or dramatic moments. Most of the time, it shows up through an ordinary life surrendered to God. A life where worship fills the heart and wisdom guides the steps.

Psalm 150 ends with a simple command: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” Praise is not just what we do in church. It is the lifestyle of someone who remembers who God is. Praise lifts your eyes when life feels heavy. It anchors your heart when everything around you shakes. It is the steady posture of someone who knows God is worthy, no matter what the day holds.

Heaven touches earth whenever worship becomes more than a song. It happens when you thank God before you grab your phone in the morning. It happens when you choose peace instead of panic. It happens when you speak life instead of frustration. Worship is your heart turning toward God in the middle of real life.

Proverbs 31 shows what that kind of worship looks like in action. This woman is not praised because she is perfect. She is honored because she is steady, wise, and faithful. She fears the Lord, and that reverence shapes everything, her work, her relationships, her generosity, and her strength. Her life becomes a picture of heaven’s wisdom lived out on earth.

That is what happens when worship and wisdom work together. Worship fills your heart with God’s presence. Wisdom moves His presence into your choices. Together, they create a life that carries heaven everywhere you go.

Heaven touching earth is not only found in the big moments. It is found in the daily ones. When you forgive someone who hurt you. When you choose gratitude over complaining. When you stay faithful in a quiet season. When you love someone who cannot repay you. Every time you respond like Jesus, heaven breaks through a little more.

As we finish this twenty-one-day journey, remember this: We were created to bring heaven to earth. Our worship invites God in. Our wisdom reflects Him to the world. Our surrendered life becomes a bridge between the world we live in and the God we belong to.

So take a deep breath today and let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Application

Carry heaven with you today. Start and end your day with gratitude.

Walk in wisdom. Ask God for guidance and live it out in your decisions and relationships.

Reflection Questions

What does it look like for your worship to show up beyond words?

Where can you apply heaven’s wisdom in a practical way this week?

Touching Heaven Changing Earth
Day 20

Generous Living

“The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25 NLT

Read Psalm 112 and Proverbs 1

Generosity isn’t about how much you have. It’s about how willing you are to use what God has given you. It’s a heart posture that says, “God, everything in my hands belongs to You first.” When you live that way, your life stays open to His blessing and His direction.

Psalm 112 describes a person whose life is stable, influential, and full of peace. Why? Because they give freely. They don’t wait until they “have extra.” They trust the God who provides. Generosity doesn’t decrease them; it expands what God can do through them.

Proverbs 11 teaches that generosity creates a cycle. When you refresh others, God refreshes you. When you pour out, He pours back in. Not because we are trying to earn His favor, but because He built spiritual laws into the world. Generosity produces life, strength, and joy.

I’ll never forget a season when our family desperately needed help and someone unexpectedly gave us a vehicle. It wasn’t just transportation; it was a miracle. A reminder that God saw us.

Generosity is not limited to money. It’s time, encouragement, listening, wisdom, and kindness. It’s choosing to see the needs around you and saying yes when God nudges your heart. Some of the most powerful gifts don’t cost anything but willingness.

When you live open-handed, your perspective shifts. Life stops being about what you can hold on to and starts being about how much good God can do through you. And somewhere in the middle of giving, your heart fills with joy you can’t get any other way.

Psalm 112 says the generous will be remembered. Not because they built their own name, but because their lives reflected God’s name. Generosity leaves a legacy that lasts long after the moment passes.

If you’ve ever been blessed by someone’s generosity, you know how deeply it can impact your heart. God often uses people to remind us He hasn’t forgotten us. And when we choose to live generously, we get to be that reminder for someone else.

Application

Look for a need today and fill it.

Live openhanded. Ask God, “What can I give?” instead of “What can I keep?”

Reflection Questions

What does generosity look like in this season?

Who can you bless or refresh this week?

Touching Heaven Changing Earth
Day 19

Correct Me If I’m Wrong

“Whoever stubbornly refuses to accept criticism will suddenly be destroyed beyond recovery.” Proverbs 29:1 NLT

Read Psalm 43 and Proverbs 29

Most of us don’t enjoy correction. It feels uncomfortable, personal, and sometimes unfair. But what if correction isn’t criticism? What if it is actually care? What if God’s correction is not rejection but redirection?

Psalm 43 shows David asking God to lead him through light and truth. He wants clarity, not comfort. He wants to be guided, not just affirmed. David understood that correction from God keeps us on the right path and protects us from our own blind spots.

Proverbs 29:1 shows the danger of resisting correction. Solomon wrote this after watching pride destroy leaders, families, and his own legacy. Pride closes the door on growth. A teachable heart keeps it open.

Correction does not show up to shame us. It shows up to save us. God’s correction is His love at work. He steps in because He sees where the road leads if He doesn’t.

Teachable people don’t wait for a disaster. They invite correction early. They ask mentors and trusted voices, “Do you see something I don’t? Am I missing anything?” That humility becomes their protection. Pride blinds, but teachability sharpens.

All through Scripture, God corrected people He planned to use. David was corrected. Peter was corrected. Paul was corrected. Every time, the correction became the turning point to a greater purpose. God only corrects what He intends to grow.

Sometimes God corrects through Scripture. Sometimes through the Holy Spirit’s conviction. Sometimes, through people who love you enough to say the hard thing. The key is keeping your heart soft enough to receive it.

Hebrews 12:6 says, “The Lord disciplines those He loves.” That means His correction is proof that He sees value in you. He is shaping something in you that is worth refining.

Maybe God has been nudging you about an attitude, a habit, a relationship, or a decision you have been putting off. Don’t push away the conviction. Lean into it. Ask God to send His light and truth the same way David did. He corrects to align you, not embarrass you.

And when someone speaks truth into your life, pause before reacting. Ask, “Could God be speaking through this?” That one question can turn correction into growth.

Correction doesn’t weaken you. It strengthens what God is building in you. The wisest people pray, “Lord, correct me if I’m wrong,” because they care more about being right with God than being right in the moment.

Application

Invite correction. Ask God to reveal any area where pride may be blocking His voice.

Stay teachable. Before dismissing feedback, pray, “Lord, if there is truth in this, let me see it.”

Reflection Questions

How do you usually respond to correction?

What area of your life needs godly correction this week?
