The revolving door of hats that we as women wear is exhausting. We serve as a spouse/a momma/a teacher/a counselor/a taxi driver/a maid/ a nurse/ a chef/ a daughter/ a care giver. We get so busy doing things for others that we leave little room for The Holy Spirit to speak and move in our lives. When you sit down and contemplate things when was the last time you heard from The Holy Spirit?

Heart of A Leader: Learning to be

An overview of the life of Moses. By faith his mother placed Moses as a 3 month old infant in a
basket to float down the Nile River. Miriam his older sister would follow the basket. Pharaoh’s daughter
would be taking a bath in the Nile River subsequently hearing baby Moses’s cry from the basket. Miriam having the courage to approach Pharaoh’s daughter. (Remember Miriam is a Hebrew girl) Moses being restored to his mother’s care.
We know the foundational character of a child is set before the age of 5. Moses’s mother gets the
opportunity to set the biblical standard for Moses’s testimony. Before he is handed over to Pharaohs
daughter to be raised as her own. I can see in the imagery in my head from Mother to Moses……”Do not forget to WHOM you belong my Son!” Can you imagine if this was how YOUR life started?

Studying the life of Moses in the book of Exodus will assist our journey as we learn how to be who
God has called us to be. Learning how to unveil the qualities and characteristics that make you and I so
unique. There is no competition within HIS Kingdom. The strengths and weaknesses we posses are what makes us, US! Being different doesn’t make us less it just makes us different.

In Matthew 5:13 we are called to be the salt of the earth. Verse 13- You are the salt of the earth. But
if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. Matthew 5:14 you are a light for the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

This is a part of learning to be who God has called you to be. We are set apart to do The Will of The
Lord. To glorify His name as we live out our lives here on earth. To show others who Jesus is and share the testimony of how He has worked in our lives.

Pharoah’s daughter had compassion on a Hebrew baby that day. I have no doubt that she knew the plans her father-The Pharaoh had set for the Hebrew baby boys. So to have the courage AND compassion to raise Moses as her own. We have to know, that God had a purpose and a plan for Moses. You and I are no different than Moses. God has a plan and a purpose for you and I.

But Moses was different and he knew it. That lil song pops into my head, ”One of these things is not
like the other.” Moses’s calling began as his faithful, biological Momma raised him. From infancy to young child her words spoken over him, the praise and worship songs she sang over him. This set him apart from the start.

He knew he wasn’t an Egyptian. He didn’t look like his brothers or sisters. Even though the family
that was raising him was firmly rooted in idol worship and Egyptian culture. He didn’t allow the things he was exposed to determine the route his life would take. Learning to be who God has called you to be is the key!!!

Choosing to learn who we are IN CHRIST versus what the world says we should be is HUGE!! It gives
us the confidence to walk a little bit bolder as we take each faithful step towards HIM. As we follow HIS plan setting aside our own selfish desires and the tight grip of control. The more we walk out His plan the more God reveals His heart for you.

Ladies-when we understand God’s heart for His daughters our ability to lead in a compassionate,
graceful, loving, truth bearing way is revealed. His WAY, His PLAN! Not my way, my plan. He is a good Father who loves us so deeply. My heart for each of you is to learn just how much He loves you and to help unveil HIS PURPOSE and HIS PLAN for your life. I am excited to begin this journey with you!!
