Three confessions of faith under the kingdom gospel.
Peter’s Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the livingGod. Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Martha’s John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11:27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
The Ethiopian Eunuch’s Acts 8:34 And the eu**ch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Acts 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. Acts 8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eu**ch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
Acts 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Did you notice what they had to believe and do?
Peter's message Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent (of what? Killing Jesus), and be baptized (water) every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
The difference between Paul's gospel and the twelve's gospel rests on their focus and audience. Paul's gospel was directed to the Gentiles, draws his undivided focus and attention to the grace of God; his basis alone for salvation today and the promise of a heavenly hope, existence and inheritance. Distinctly different, the twelve apostles' gospel was for the most part for the Jews only which Jesus focused on and made clear in Matthew 10:5; 15:24; Luke 4:42; John 20:21, and their focus was on the kingdom of God and how to get into it through repentance and water baptism. This distinction is critical for understanding Biblical truth, God’s dispensations and God's projected plan of salvation.
Paul’s gospel is totally different for salvation it is apart from law.1 Corinthians15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Romans 3:21-24 But now the righteousness of God has been revealed apart from the law, attested by the Law and the Prophets,
22 that is, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all and upon all who believe; for there is no distinction. Rom 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being freely justified by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Ephesians 2:8, 9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast/brag.
Using quickness to keep the oneness from the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Notice one baptism not two!
So which one is it that Paul uses for placement or identification into the Church, the Body of Christ?
1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. Paul uses the one baptism, one body, one Spirit from Ephesians 4.
Emphasizing this Paul says in Galatians 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Most don’t see and understand this, that adding water for identification is an operation of the flesh for trying to get others to become perfect.
Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
Colossians 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Colossians 1:27, 28 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; in order that we might present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
The problem is that people are being mesmerized, captivated and blinded into believing they need to have a part in their salvation. So, So sad.
What part do you really have in your salvation?
Ephesians 2:1-3 And you, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Romans 3:9-12 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Ouch! These passages take your efforts out from God’s salvation plan.
Why? You might ask Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Make anyone a candidate for His free offer of salvation.
One’s efforts nullifies, makes void or makes the power of the cross to save powerless.
My plea as an ambassador of Christ, for those who believe otherwise is 2 Corinthians 5:20, 21 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech (plea, beg or demand) you through us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled (a Divine injunction) to God. Why? Because,
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
The only WAY to be reconciled 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Jesus Christ has done everything for you and it is yours IF you receive His work on the cross through faith alone.
