New Vision Ministries We are a non-denominational church, with an Apostolic ministry, located south of Alvord, Texas. Welcome and thank you for visiting our page!

New Vision Ministries is excited about what God is doing in our midst. We pray that you will get a glimpse into our heart and vision that God has revealed and is continually revealing to us. Our people are passionate about developing a closer relationship with Jesus and serving Him. Out of those God-given desires, ministries are developed, Kingdom-connections are being made, and NVM is able to reach around the world. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about the church and any of our ministries. And by all means, come in person and share the excitement and love of Jesus in our people.

It is amazing how we will tend to put our trust and faith in someone we have never met. We will trust that their intentions are true, that their motives are good, that their knowledge is sufficient, yet we have a harder time trusting in the very one who created us.
I have never known an earthly father that would desire bad things to happen to their own children, so how much more would our heavenly Father desire good for us? He knew us before we were even born and He had plans for us before we were even created (and God does not plan failure). If we will put blind trust in the engineer of a train when it passes through a tunnel or a pilot when the plane enters turbulence, why will we not believe in our Creator when we pass through a valley in the midst of our journey.
When we enter the tunnel, we come out on the other side. When we go through turbulence, we come out on the other side. When we pass through the valley, there is a mountain top experience ahead if we just keep pushing forward.
I have never operated a train. My trip is more secure in the hands of the engineer.
I have never flown a plane. My safety is more secure in the hands of the pilot.
That all being said, my life is better in the hands of the one who placed me here.

Many times the trials we are going through is the training ground for what we will conquer in the future. It is the preparation that is setting the foundation we will stand on when the opportunities come.
When David was about to fight Goliath, he reflected on his encounters with the lion and with the bear while he was tending his flock. When those attacks came, he probably considered those as trials in his life. It was his victories in those training situations that were setting the foundation of the mighty warrior he would become. Though it seemed like at the time he was just doing his duty in his daily responsibilities it was really preparing him for something so much bigger.
The other warriors (the ones hiding behind the rocks) trained and prepared for battle, David actually achieved victories that he could build on. When the time came for actual battle, the one with the history of overcoming was the one prepared to walk through the door of opportunity.
God has had you in a time of preparation so you will be ready to walk into your victory.

Sometimes circumstances put us in very difficult places, but those circumstances do net determine the value of who we are.
We are created by a perfect maker and placed into an imperfect world. We have all sinned and fallen short of His glory, yet He loved us enough to die for us. That is how valuable each life is. People may want to judge you, discount you, establish your worth, but they don't have the power or authority to do that, and you don't have to let them.
Know who you are in the Lord and you will never have to let your circumstances devalue your worth. Refuse to lower your standards just because others may want to think less of you. Remember, even King David's own family could not see the KING in him. They did not even think enough of him to call him to the anointing service called by Samuel.
What God sees in you is more important than what your neighbor, your co-worker, or even family members may see in you. When we know who's established value is most important, then we will realize how valuable we truly are.

Lamentations 3:22-23 (NLT) - "The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness, His mercies begin afresh each morning".
Yesterday is gone. Nothing we can do to change it. We have to be careful not to let it become and albatross around our necks. Pause, take a breath, start fresh this morning. The decisions, the choices we make today sets the path for our future. It is a new day of planting seeds for an expected harvest.
When we feel rushed, when we force things to completion we tend to make mistakes and sometimes make bad choices. Learn the power of the pause, the power of the reset. The enemy wants to keep us in a state of confusion, a state of stress, a state of feeling behind...Pause, breathe, begin again.
That one brief moment, that short break to reset can be the difference between us acting and re-acting. The difference in us operating on the offensive as opposed to dog-paddling just to survive and keep our heads above the water. We owe it to ourselves to find peace even in the midst of all of the chaos. Pause, breathe, begin again...it's OK.

We say we turn it over to God, but when we do, it usually lasts about 15 minutes. When we don't see the results we want to see immediately we tend to pick it back up to "help" God a little bit.
It is purely our human focus that we know how we want God to handle it and we want Him to do it in our time frame. It is hard to truly surrender and give up that control. But we have "right now" expectations and we desire microwave results even from God.
The truth is that we walk in more peace when we do actually surrender it and take our hands off of it. Once we get past the immediate stress of lack of results, we turn over a burden to Him and take it off of our shoulders. And, at least in my case, it seems that once it is no longer a burden on my mind is when the answer generally comes. That does not mean that initial step was easy, but it just proves out that when I put all the trust in Him, He always comes through.
It doesn't always look like I thought it would, it doesn't always come when I wanted it to, but His plan is always better than mine. His plans have the long lasting affects that my short-sighted plan would not have had. He plans for longevity in solutions, where I just want immediate relief.
He will open the right doors with the right opportunities at the right time with the right blessings connected to it. IF we can only let Him do it...

Some days we have shouting faith! Some days we walk so confident, with our chests poked out, feeling powerful and unstoppable!
Some days our faith looks more like we are holding on to the last thread, with tears and prayers (and sometimes questions) flowing from our lips, with more of a whisper than a shout.
But we hold onto and trust in the Savior who is the same in the valley as He is on the mountain. And we know that EVEN IN the fire and the trial, we are in the palm of His hand and He never lets us go.
Sometimes faith is harder than other times, but faith is described in Hebrews 11:1 (NLT) like this..."Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we can not see".
That means we believe it before we can see it. We trust in the One who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. We trust that His word is true even when we do not yet see the manifestation of it yet. One day we will see the faith of tears and prayers turn into that faith of shouting! Until then we continue to hold onto the hem of His garment and just trust in His goodness.
When we look back and see our shouts from the past, we will remember that many times those shouts began in the times of just believing.
