Beautiful service 🙏🙏🙏

Bishop Ryan Reed received the diocesan crosier, which first belonged to Bishop Davies, from Bishop Jack Iker in a service of choral evensong at St. Vincent’s Cathedral on Sunday, Jan. 5. Bishop Reed is the Fourth Bishop of Fort Worth.

The Christmas Eve midnight mass at St. Vincent’s Cathedral was Bishop Iker’s last celebration as the Diocesan Bishop. Bishop Reed, who celebrated Holy Communion at St. Andrew’s, Fort Worth, on Christmas Eve, will succeed Bishop Iker, becoming Fourth Bishop of Fort Worth on Jan. 1, 2020.

We had a wonderful vist from The Rt. Rev. Jack Leo Iker Fort Worth III recently. We had a delicious luncheon afterwards, and it was a great time to meet him and visit with both him and Father Mitchell.
