Todos Unidos: Apoyando a nuestra Conferencia de Texas a través de la Ofrenda Visión de Texas

Las iglesias Adventistas del Séptimo Día de Alvarado English y Dallas-Fort Worth Filipino Americana son solo dos de las muchas congregaciones que se han beneficiado de la ofrenda Texas Vision. También conocida como la ofrenda de la Conferencia, apoya tres áreas clave dentro de la Conferencia de Texas: 25% para fondos de estudiantes meritorios de academias, 25% para asignaciones para la construcción de iglesias, y 50% para el desarrollo de Lake Whitney Ranch. La iniciativa de la Visión de Texas demuestra nuestro esfuerzo colectivo para satisfacer diversas necesidades dentro de la Conferencia de Texas.

Los estudiantes de academias reciben becas cruciales de esta ofrenda, las cuales pueden marcar la diferencia en su capacidad para asistir a una academia de la Conferencia de Texas. Together As One: Supporting Our Texas Conference Through the Texas Vision Offering

The Alvarado English and the Dallas-Fort Worth Filipino American Seventh-day Adventist churches are just two of the many congregations that have benefited from the Texas Vision offering. Also known as the conference offering, it supports three key areas within the Texas Conference: 25% for academy worthy-student funds, 25% for church building appropriations, and 50% for the development of Lake Whitney Ranch. The Texas Vision initiative demonstrates our collective effort to meet various needs within the Texas Conference.

Academy students receive crucial scholarships from this offering, which can make the difference in their ability to attend a Texas Conference academy. Building appropriations assist congregations such as Alvarado English and Dallas-Fort Worth Filipino American in purchasing new buildings, constructing new facilities, or expanding their existing ones. And last but not least, Lake Whitney Ranch is in dire need of funding to increase its lodging capacity. Currently, they must turn away groups that could provide revenue for the camp because Lake Whitney Ranch lacks sufficient accommodations. This underscores the importance of the Texas Vision offering. It takes all of us working together to advance God’s work here in Texas.

Consider the missed opportunities to learn more about Jesus if an academy student is unable to attend our school, or if a guest cannot visit a new church location or if there isn’t enough space at Lake Whitney Ranch to host them.

Scripture states, “The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building” 1 Corinthians 3:8-9 NIV.

When you contribute to the Texas Vision offering, you help plant seeds for others to nurture. Together As One, we can further God’s work in Texas and make an eternal impact.

Hoy, 20 de junio, habría sido el cumpleaños de mi padre. Cuando se trata de dar, recuerdo algo que me dijo muchas veces mientras crecía. Él y mi madre eran lo que él llamaba "10/10" que donaban. Eso significaba que devolvían fielmente al Señor un diezmo del 10 por ciento y una ofrenda del 10 por ciento, y muchas veces daban generosamente más allá de eso.

Desde enero de 2026, por la gracia de Dios, puedo decir que he empezado oficialmente a dar un 10% de diezmo y un 10% de ofrenda, y ya he notado lo que mi padre solía decirme: "Hijo, no puedes dar más que Dios. Cuanto más des, de distintas maneras, Él siempre te devolverá más".

La Biblia en Malaquías 3:10 (RVR1995) nos recuerda este hermoso principio: "Traed todos los diezmos al alfolíy haya alimento en mi Casa: Probadme ahora en esto, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, a ver si no os abro las ventanas de los cielos y derramo sobre vosotros bendición hasta que sobreabunde".

La invitación de Dios no es una obligación; Se trata de confianza. Cuando le ponemos primero en nuestras finanzas, reconocemos que todo lo que tenemos proviene de Él.

Hoy quiero extender un reto sencillo: ¿Alguna vez has considerado ser un 10/10 que da un 10?

Pruébalo. Sal con fe y observa lo que el Señor hará. Quizá descubras lo que descubrió mi padre y lo que yo estoy experimentando ahora: que cuando damos generosamente a Dios, Él provee fielmente de formas que nunca imaginamos.

Giving Like My Parents Did

Today, June 20, would have been my dad’s birthday. When it comes to giving, I can remember something he told me many times as I was growing up. He and my mom were what he called “10/10” givers. That meant they faithfully returned to the Lord a 10 percent tithe and a 10 percent offering, and many times they gave generously beyond that.

As of January 2026, by God’s grace, I can say that I have officially started giving 10% tithe and 10% offering, and I’ve already noticed what my dad used to tell me: “Son, you can’t outgive God. The more you give, in various ways, He will always give more back to you.”

The Bible in Malachi 3:10 ESV reminds us of this beautiful principle: “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.”

God’s invitation is not about obligation; it’s about trust. When we place Him first in our finances, we acknowledge that everything we have comes from Him.

Today, I want to extend a simple challenge: Have you ever considered being a 10/10 giver?

Try it. Step out in faith and watch what the Lord will do. You may discover what my father discovered and what I am now experiencing: that when we give generously to God, He faithfully provides in ways we never imagined.

Today is Women’s Ministries Emphasis Day, a special Sabbath to celebrate the meaningful contributions women make in their homes, churches and communities.

Every day, women step up to minister in ways that truly matter, following the words of Jesus in John 13:34 (NIV) to “Love one another as I have loved you.” They minister across generations with compassion and purpose, praying, mentoring, discipling and comforting those walking through life’s hardest seasons. Whether organizing health fairs, abuse prevention workshops, or teen mentorship programs, women create opportunities for healing and growth, as well as hosting gatherings that foster joy, laughter and fellowship. Hoy es el Día de Énfasis del Ministerio de la Mujer, un sábado especial en el que celebramos las significativas contribuciones que realizan las mujeres en sus hogares, iglesias y comunidades.

Cada día, las mujeres se unen para ejercer el ministerio de maneras profundamente valiosas, siguiendo las palabras de Juan 13:34 (NVI): “Así como yo los he amado, también ustedes deben amarse los unos a los otros”. A lo largo de las generaciones, las mujeres han ejercido su ministerio con compasión y determinación: oran, orientan, instruyen y consuelan a quienes atraviesan las etapas más difíciles de la vida. Ya sea organizando ferias de salud, talleres de prevención del abuso o programas de mentoría para jóvenes, las mujeres de la iglesia crean oportunidades de crecimiento y bienestar, que fomentan alegría, risa y compañerismo. Reparten comidas, proveen artículos de primera necesidad a familias con dificultades y ofrecen apoyo a pacientes con cáncer. Dirigen actividades de evangelización, facilitan estudios bíblicos y acompañan a otras mujeres en su crecimiento espiritual. En los momentos de silencio o en espacios públicos, las mujeres son las manos y los pies de Jesús; viven su amor de forma práctica y poderosa.

El Ministerio de la Mujer capacita a las mujeres para crecer como líderes, brindándoles formación, recursos y desarrollo espiritual que les permiten servir de manera más eficaz. Al reconocer que la educación es la clave del liderazgo, el Ministerio de la Mujer también apoya a estudiantes universitarias de instituciones adventistas mediante el fondo de becas Women’s Ministries Scholarship Fund.

La fidelidad de Leo

Leo es un hermano, un líder de pequeños grupos en nuestra iglesia desde hace mucho tiempo y alguien cuya vida refleja una fe viva y práctica. Durante años, ha devuelto fielmente sus diezmos y ofrendas—no por obligación, sino por profunda convicción de que todo viene de Dios.

En una ocasión, mientras visitaba a una hermana recién bautizada, Leo compartió una experiencia que me impresionó. Dijo: "A veces no entiendo cómo, cuando gano unos 4.000 dólares al mes, veo gastos en mis cuentas que reflejan los gastos como si hubiera gastado 6.000 dólares. Pero desde que puse a Dios primero con mis finanzas, nunca me ha faltado lo que necesitaba. Compensa de formas que no siempre entiendo, pero siempre a tiempo."

Su testimonio no fue de riqueza, sino de confianza. No hablaba de milagros espectaculares, sino de la fidelidad diaria en lo pequeño. Incluso en medio de situaciones económicas más urgentes, León nunca dejó de devolver lo que considera "sagrado al Señor", incluso cuando no trabajaba regularmente por motivos de salud y falta de empleo. Para él, el diezmo no es un gasto, sino un acto de adoración que siempre trae grandes recompensas.

Lo más impactante no fue su testimonio financiero, sino su paz. En su voz no oí ansiedad, solo alegría. Sabía que su verdadero tesoro no estaba en su cuenta bancaria, sino en el tesoro que está haciendo en el cielo (Mateo 6:19-21).

Hoy en día, Leo sigue siendo un ejemplo silencioso dentro de su congregación. Su vida muestra que la administración fiel no depende de cuánto tengas, sino de a quién sirvas. Como dice Malaquías 3:10, el Señor abrió "las ventanas del cielo"—no porque León diera mucho, sino porque dio en fe.

Su historia me recuerda que Dios no busca nuestra riqueza, sino nuestros corazones. Hoy, al dar diezmos y ofrendas, León recuerda que el cielo no registra la cantidad del regalo, sino la fidelidad de quien lo da.

Hoy, honramos a Dios juntos mientras devolvemos nuestros diezmos y hacemos nuestras ofrendas para el presupuesto local de la iglesia.

Leo’s Fidelity

Leo is a brother, a longtime leader of small groups at our church and someone whose life reflects a lively, practical faith. For years, he has faithfully returned his tithes and offerings—not out of obligation, but out of deep conviction that everything comes from God.

On one occasion, while visiting a newly baptized sister, Leo shared an experience that impressed me. He said: “Sometimes I don’t understand how, when I earn about $4,000 per month, I see expenses in my accounts that reflect expenses as if I had spent $6,000. But ever since I put God first with my finances, I have never lacked what I needed. He makes up in ways that I don’t always understand, but always on time.”

His testimony was not of wealth, but of trust. He was not talking about spectacular miracles, but about daily fidelity in the small. Even in the midst of more pressing economic situations, Leo never stopped returning what he considers “holy to the Lord,” even when he was not working regularly due to health reasons and lack of work. For him, tithing is not an expense, but an act of worship that always brings great rewards.

The most shocking thing was not his financial testimony, but his peace. In his voice, I heard no anxiety, just joy. He knew that his true treasure was not in his bank account, but in the treasure he is making in heaven (Matthew 6:19-21).

Today, Leo remains a silent example within his congregation. His life shows that faithful stewardship does not depend on how much you have, but on whom you serve. As Malachi 3:10 says, the Lord opened “the windows of heaven”—not because Leo gave much, but because he gave in faith.

His story reminds me that God does not seek our wealth, but our hearts. Today, in giving tithes and offerings, Leo remembers that heaven records not the amount of the gift, but the faithfulness of the giver.

Today, we honor God together as we return our tithes and give our offerings for the local church budget.

One of the most beautiful things about Lake Whitney Ranch is that God meets us there in a special way. Through worship, conversations, quiet moments by the water and even during games and laughter, we’re reminded that God is active, present and working in our lives.

Today, we have an opportunity to respond to God’s goodness. This offering isn’t just about giving money; it’s about supporting the mission that God is accomplishing through Lake Whitney Ranch, Christian education and local churches. Every dollar helps create a space where young people and adults encounter Christ, build friendships and experience spiritual growth that lasts.

When you give, you’re investing in life-changing moments:
• A camper hearing the gospel clearly for the first time
• Leaders receiving support and resources to serve faithfully
• Students discovering their calling
• A community being strengthened in faith

Nuestro Tesoro de Texas

No habíamos tenido una reunión familiar en bastante tiempo. Siempre había un problema con nuestros compromisos y reunir a todos. Luego, mientras participaba en un retiro en Lake Whitney Ranch, pensé: "¿Por qué no hacer una reunión familiar aquí?" Estaba en un lugar céntrico para todos. Podría alquilar uno de los alojamientos, y sus seis dormitorios ofrecerían mucho espacio para los distintos miembros de mi familia. Contacté a todos, y estuvieron de acuerdo en que deberíamos hacer una reunión familiar de Acción de Gracias en Lake Whitney Ranch.

Como dice el viejo refrán, todos lo pasaron en grande. Jugamos, paseamos por el rancho, nos relajamos junto al lago y pasamos un rato alegre juntos. Algunos de mis familiares nunca habían estado en Lake Whitney Ranch. Se sorprendieron de todo lo que se podía hacer allí, desde reuniones familiares hasta campamentos para jóvenes, así como para Conquistadores, Aventureros y Guías Mayores, y de las instalaciones disponibles para que las iglesias organizen sus retiros o sesiones de entrenamiento.

Nada de esto sería posible sin vuestro apoyo continuo a Lake Whitney Ranch. Sé de primera mano que fue una bendición para nosotros, y que Lake Whitney Ranch es una bendición para los demás. Definitivamente, es "Una luz en el corazón de Texas".
