Altus Church of the Nazarene has been a part of the community of Altus since 1909. Our Mission Statement is "Altus Church of the Nazarene; Where Friends become family." We are encouraged to go into out each week and become a part of our workplaces and community and "Live Christ's Likeness in the Places We Live, Work, and Pray!"

Pastor Steve and Tammy Lehew have been on staff at Altus Nazarene sin

ce June 25, 2023. Pastor Steve is very involved in the community of Altus. He teaches music at Altus Christian Academy, he is also a fire department chaplain with the Altus Fire Department, he is a board member at Operation Care Ministries and a member of the Jackson County Ministerial Alliance. His wife Tammy is a first-grade teacher at Altus Christian Academy and she is also a great part of the ministry team at Altus. She serves along the side of Pastor Steve with a servant's heart. They have two children, Brayden who is the children's pastor at the church and Kayden attends Altus Public Schools. In 2022 our church board decided to take a step of faith and hire Brayden Lehew as our Childrens and Families Pastor. Pastor Brayden is a graduate of Ministerial Studies at Southern Nazarene University. We value family and your children are important to us. Pastor Brayden also works for Altus Christian Academy, where he is a valuable part of the team at the school. We invite you to come serve and grow with us. We give families an opportunity to serve our community on the first Friday of the month when we serve a meal to anyone that is hungry in the community of Altus. Come be a part of a growing church that loves each other and that loves the Lord. Adult, Teen and Children's Sunday School - Sunday 9:45 a.m. Sunday Worship and Children's Worship - Sunday 10:45 a.m. Wednesday Night Teens, Children's Ministry and Adult Ministries - Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Serving the Community of Altus - Free Meal on the first Saturday of each month starting at 11:00 a.m.

The hunt is on! A total of 25 crosses have been hidden throughout Altus and are waiting to be found.

Hints:

• Pickleball, swimming, and more await here at this location where seven crosses are hidden and awaiting to be found.

• The Voice of Altus lives on these plains, along with three crosses awaiting to be taken away.

• Wanna take a walk and read a book? You can do both at this location. Look out for four crosses and see where they can be found.

• Two crosses are waiting where Altus gathers for stock shows, rodeos, and community events.

• Two crosses can be found near a place where faith, hope, and prayer bring people together.

• Two crosses are making a splash near Altus’s favorite place to cool off during the summer heat.

• Three crosses are waiting where history, community, and green space come together.

• Two crosses have been delivered to a spot where letters and packages begin their journey.

Okay Altus, it’s time for drop one of our crosses! Here are the hints to 30 crosses hidden across our city!

As a reminder, take a picture with your cross you’ve found and tag us in a post!

Hints:
- Thousands of stories live here, but today three little crosses have joined the collection.

- People come here for vaccines, checkups, and public health services. One cross awaits nearby.

- If you need to pay a utility bill or take care of city business, you’re going to find two crosses nearby.

- The biggest screen in town isn’t showing these treasures—you’ll have to find the two crosses outside.

- Many community gatherings happen here. So does today’s hunt for 2 crosses.

- Slides, swings, and three hidden crosses can all be found in this southwest park in town.

- A place where our seniors can come for fellowship, meals, and activities is hiding three crosses.
