Message from Pastor Steven Travis:

“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:6-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). When some of those standing there heard this, they said, “He’s calling Elijah.” Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. The rest said, “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to save him.” And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people. When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was truly the Son of God!””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27:45-54‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Text from Pastor Steven this morning:

Loved “Good morning guys, trust you all are doing well in these weeks that are flying by faster than they ever have. I wanted to take just a moment and encourage you this morning. Last Sunday we read a passage together from 2 Kings 6:8-23 that has truly encouraged me and I hope it does you as well. Sometimes as we face life obstacles and personal battles we can very easily become overwhelmed and discouraged, however when we realize who it is we serve and just how big and Good our God is we can truly understand the power we can have in our prayer lives. Take a moment and reread this passage and read it as if your praying what Elisha prayed. Open our eyes Lord and allow us to see the hills behind our problems and our battles and may we be encouraged to stay in the battle as we see your Chariots of fire ready to respond.

“When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha. “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.”
2 Kings 6:15-17

Hallelujah, when we live everyday on Mission we can be assured that God is in Control.

Have a great and encouraged day, Serving the King of Kings.
