Fall is a great time to begin again with some new routines. If you’ve been thinking about getting back to church, this would be a perfect time to do it.
This Sunday should be a fun day. It’s the Sunday of the long Labor Day weekend. We’ll spend some time talking about the work we do for God, using some verses from Mark 6:7-13.
AND it’s also the Sunday before the big Cy-Hawk Football game between Iowa and Iowa State. So, to celebrate everyone is invited to wear your favorite team gear. Maybe it’s black and gold, or maybe it’s cardinal and gold, or maybe it’s a completely different team altogether. It’s all in good fun!
AND it gets even better because it’s also Dinner Day, the church’s monthly potluck. If you’re so inclined, consider bringing your favorite tailgate food to share. We would love to have you join us. Church is at 10:30, followed by lunch at 11:30.

Join us tomorrow for Sunday worship as we look at the Disney movie Aladdin and talk about how God sees us - not just who we've been in the past, or who we are in the present, but who we are becoming. Worship is at 10:30, followed by a time of fellowship at 11:30.

It's hard to believe August is here already and it will be a busy month for many trying to fit in vacations and camping trips and getting ready for a new school year. And don't forget about the State Fair that starts in a week and a half. In all that you do, don't forget to tend your relationship with God. It's a way to feed your soul in the midst of the busyness.
Join us this Sunday for worship as we continue our Faith and Film Sermon Series with the Disney movie Inside Out. If you're away from home, you can join us for our live worship on Facebook. The link to the bulletin is included below.
It's also Dinner Day, Centennial's monthly community meal. All are welcome to stay for lunch.
