This was a very beautiful and moving experience. To hear music in this synagogue in the old Jewish quarter was truly special.

The first concert of this trip was a success. Cantor Benjamin Matis sang beautifully and the choir was fantastic! I’m so proud of him!!!

Avinu shebashamayim,
Our Father in Heaven,

We call to you from the depths in this time of despair,
Seeking you to be our Tower of Strength and deliverance.
Hear Us on this day we call upon you, O God, and
Answer our cries Our Father, Our King.

Recall your children who struggle now in these difficult economic times, and lovingly bless us with the fortitude and patience to get through these days. We beg of you, ruler of the universe, to bless us by taking this plague from us so that we may again enjoy the fruits of our labor and live with dignity that comes from work.

You who are the source of all blessings,
You who open your hand to sustain all living things,
Be our rock and redeemer, our tower of deliverance,
Hear us and hear our prayer. May we be blessed again as Aaron the High Priest was commanded to bless your people:

May the Lord Bless you and keep you,

May the Lord deal kindly and graciously with you,

May the Lord bestow favor upon you, and grant you peace.
