Alton gathered with the county to honor our veterans, promote unity, and celebrate our nation's 250th birthday with a community potluck.

We appreciate each one that came and participated in the Community Potluck July 5th. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the VFW Color Guard, all the speakers and musicians, T-sounds, donations from businesses, churches, and individuals, all that helped set up, tear down, and clean up. We love our community!

We have a little change for the meet up location for the Veterans parade on Sunday July 5th. Please meet at the car wash at the corner of Old and Market Street at 12:45. The West Plains VFW Honor Guard and Michael Taylor will be there to coordinate. This shortens the route a bit which we hope is helpful. We hope to see all veterans in the area so we can all pay honor to you and your service.
