Welcome to the Historic Union Baptist Church!

Tomorrow’s message is one that has been heavy on my heart.

In James 2:5–9, scripture confronts a hard truth: what happens when society honors power, wealth, and political influence while neglecting the poor, the immigrant, the sick, the widow, and the vulnerable?

We are living in a moment where cruelty is often defended as strength, deception is normalized, and many who loudly claim the name of Christ seem far removed from the teachings of Jesus.

Tomorrow, we’re going to wrestle honestly with what it means to follow Christ in times like these.

If you’ve been struggling with what you’re seeing in America, in politics, and even in parts of the modern church, I invite you to join us live tomorrow at Union Baptist Church. 320 E. 7th Street, Alton, Illinois, 62002. Worship starts at 11AM. You can also watch by way of Facebook live. We hope to see you there!
