Wat Lao Buddha Sattha Dhamma, Inc. Laotian Buddhist temple and learning center of Habersham County, Georgia. Meditation instruction available on-site. Today, Wat Lao Buddha Sattha Dhamma, Inc.

Founded in 2009 by the Laotian American community of Habersham County, the Buddhist temple is tucked away in the peaceful back roads of Alto, Georgia. This organization is entirely non-profitable and is funded solely from the donations of people within the community, hard work, dedication and the common dream to achieve a peaceful place where those in the community could come in their time of need

. is both a place of worship for Buddhist citizens as well as a learning center for Laotian culture, sharing our heritage with those who are interested and teaching future generations of it, so it will continue to stay alive. In Georgia, there are only four Laotian Buddhist temples operating, and each are located in different regions of the state. Wat Lao Buddha Sattha Dhamma, Inc. represents the Northeast Georgian Laotian community and is proudly a part of Habersham County.

To our supportive community we need to address a couple of things as the events ramp up. We are excited to host the Lao-American Sangha and our venerable monks. We realize a lot of you are especially excited to see familiar faces from those who were part of the Walk for Peace. 🕊️

While the monks are happy to interact with all, let us know forget that they also have monastic duties to attend to. As the host temple we wish for them to feel relaxed and comfortable. Please help us allow them their space and private time to handle their affairs. 🙏

Thursday and Friday will be the Lao-American Buddhist Monks Council ceremony days. That event is a “business” event for our venerable monks. Please take that time to enjoy our vendors and the Sim. ☸️

We rely on all of you to respectfully avoid pavilion where the monks are meeting. No one but the venerable monks and our security should be in that area.

We want everyone to enjoy this special event and partake in the celebrations. May we set the example and encourage the supporters to be respectful and responsible. 🙏☸️
