🎶 One Church. Many Generations. One Savior. ✝️

One of the things we love most about Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church is seeing generations worshiping side by side. From children to grandparents, every voice matters in the Kingdom of God.

Last Sunday, our worship team was a beautiful picture of what the Church is meant to be a family of faith united in lifting up the name of Jesus. Different ages. Different stories. Different experiences. Yet all worshiping the same faithful God together.

In a world that often separates generations, we believe there is something powerful about young and old serving, singing, learning, and growing together. The next generation isn't just the future of the Church they are part of the Church right now.

"One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts." Psalm 145:4

We are grateful for every person who shares their gifts to lead others into worship. ❤️

"Though you have not seen him, you love him... and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy." 1 Peter 1:8

Your current situation is not your final destination. Pain has a way of convincing us that things will never change, but God reminds us there is a greater story being written. Even when we cannot see what He is doing, we can trust His heart.
Joy isn't pretending everything is fine. Joy is knowing Jesus is with us and that He is leading us toward something better.

Prayer: Jesus, help me trust You when I cannot see the whole picture. Fill me with Your joy today. Amen.

"If one part suffers, every part suffers with it."
1 Corinthians 12:26

Today we're praying for Gloria as she undergoes surgery. One of the gifts of the church family is that no one has to face difficult days alone. When one person hurts, we gather around them in prayer, encouragement, and faith.
As you pray for Gloria today, remember that God is holding her and He is holding you too. Whatever burden you're carrying, you don't carry it alone.

Prayer:
Lord, be with Gloria today. Guide the medical team, give her peace, and surround her with Your presence. Help us be a church family that carries one another's burdens well. Amen.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a reminder that freedom has always carried a cost. Some gave years of service. Some gave pieces of themselves. And some, like my friend Bobby, gave everything.

Bobby served in the USMC during peacetime, but sacrifice is not limited to the battlefield. After a field exercise, he was hauling heavy equipment when the brakes failed. In those terrifying moments, he guided the vehicle away from other drivers. The crash took his life, but others were spared because of his choice.
That kind of sacrifice points us toward something holy.

Jesus said there is no greater love than laying down your life for others. Most of us may never face a moment as dramatic as Bobby did, but every day we are given opportunities to live sacrificially to protect, encourage, serve, forgive, and put others before ourselves.

Today, remember those who gave their lives. Honor their courage. And ask God to help you live with that same kind of selfless love in the everyday moments of life. -Pastor David Starkey

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for those who sacrificed for others. Comfort the families carrying loss today. Help us not only remember courage, but live courageouslywith hearts willing to serve, protect, and love like Jesus. Amen.

“Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

Cycles often grow in isolation. Shame tells people to hide. Fear tells people nobody would understand.
But healing often begins when people stop pretending and allow others to walk beside them.
God designed the church to be more than a building people attend. It is meant to be a family where burdens are shared and hope is spoken into weary hearts.
You do not have to carry every battle by yourself.

“Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much.” Luke 16:10

We often want God to change everything instantly. But many breakthroughs begin with small faithful steps repeated over time.

Breaking cycles is often less dramatic than people imagine. It may look like choosing kindness instead of anger. Prayer instead of panic. Rest instead of burnout. Forgiveness instead of bitterness.

Little choices made consistently become a new direction.

Do not underestimate what God can do through ordinary faithfulness.

Today is Ascension Day! The day we remember Jesus ascending into heaven after His resurrection.

Sometimes Ascension Day gets overlooked between Easter and Pentecost, but it reminds us of something powerful: Jesus is reigning, interceding for us, and still at work in our world today.

Before He ascended, Jesus gave His followers a mission: “Go and make disciples…” and a promise: “I am with you always.”

That promise still stands.

No matter what this week holds, we serve a risen and reigning Savior who has not abandoned His people. May today remind us to lift our eyes, renew our hope, and continue the work He has called us to do.

“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky?” Acts 1:11

Let’s keep looking upward in faith… and moving outward in mission. ✝️
