Updated bid information and If you are interested, PLEASE submit a bid!!!!

The Mt. Olive Cemetery, Inc Committee is seeking bids for the mowing and w**d eating services of Mt. Olive Cemetery, a nonprofit cemetery located in Altha, Florida, for the 2026 maintenance season. The contract period will run for seven (7) months, starting ASAP after the April 17 bid deadline through October 2026. Interested bidders must submit a total fixed price per month for the 7 total service visits. Each visit must include full mowing and w**d eating to maintain a clean and respectful appearance throughout the grounds. All bids must clearly outline according to the proposed schedule, total cost, and number of visits covered under the agreement. Payment will be rendered after each completion for the month. Please message Russell Baggett at 850-718-6302 with your bid proposal. Deadline for bids is Friday, April 17, 2026.

We would like to thank everyone that came out this morning to help with the Mt. Olive Cemetery Cleanup. It looks so wonderful. Again there are smiling faces in Heaven looking down on us. A special thank you to Chris Weeks for taking on the task of mowing and w**deating. He's been really busy the last two weeks getting quite a bit done so we wouldn't have a lot to do today. And to Roger and Vicki Waldroff Fowler for everything they continue to do for the Cemetery. You both are a God Send. I'm not going to name the others who worked for I'm sure I would leave someone out but please know the results are spectacular. Thank you simply doesn't justify your hard work.

Just a reminder that we are meeting at 7:30 in the morning at the cemetery to finish w**deating and cleaning up the grass and trash. Please bring rakes, pruning shears and shovels. Shouldn't take long with lots of help. Thank you all!

People have been asking when the next Mt. Olive Cemetery Cleanup is going to be held. We have set the date for Saturday, September 9, 2023 starting at 7:30 AM. We are asking for people with w**deaters and push mowers to help us cut as much of the inside graves as possible. For more information please contact Russell Baggett or Vicki Fowler.

To whomever has taken down our U.S. Flag at the cemetery and replaced it with a Confederate Flag, please kindly go and put the U.S. Flag back up. The CSA flag will be removed this afternoon. You are more than welcome to fly a CSA flag on your family's plot. Please refrain from switching out the U.S. Flag on the cemetery pole donated and placed there to fly our Country's flag and honor all citizens of the United States of America.

The Mt. Olive Cemetery Altha is having a cemetery clean up work day next Saturday, March 11, 2023 starting at 8:00 am until done. The cemetery is located north of Altha, Florida on Mt. Olive Cemetery Road,
near GreenPoint Ag 15527 Mt. Olive Cemetery Rd (the former Altha Coop).

Please bring any yard tools such as rakes, w**deaters, chain saws, pruning shears, wheel barrows or buckets to pick up debris.

Water and gatorade will be provided.
