Tithing was never about completing a religious checklist.

God didn't design giving because He needs the income.

He designed it because we need the formation.

Think about it.

Homework trains the mind to think differently.

Giving trains the heart to trust differently.

And if your giving has never led to deeper trust in God?

Something is missing.

Jesus said it plainly.

You can tithe perfectly and still miss the entire point.

Because the goal was never 10%.

The goal was always a heart that trusts God completely.

Comparison will destroy your faithfulness faster than anything else.

You scroll and see someone further ahead financially.

Suddenly what you have feels like nothing.

Or worse.

You see someone with less and think you're doing fine.

Both are traps.

God has never once asked, "Did you match what they did?"

Not once.

His question is simpler.

And harder.

"Were you faithful with what I gave you?"

That's it.

Your assignment isn't their assignment.

Your resources aren't their resources.

Stop measuring your obedience against someone else's highlight reel.

God doesn't need your money.

He owns everything already.

Your job. Your house. Your savings. Your kids. Your opportunities.

All of it came from Him.

So why do we get so tense when tithing comes up?

Because we still think we're the owners.

We're not.

We're stewards.

Managing what already belongs to Him.

When you understand that, everything shifts.

The stress goes away.

The awkwardness disappears.

Because you're not giving up what's yours.

You're returning what was His all along.

Not to shame you.
Not to condemn you.

You are not an owner.
You are a steward.

When you grasp that distinction, it shifts how you hold everything.

You stop gripping so tightly.
You stop stressing over what was never yours to begin with.
You start managing with open hands instead of clenched fists.

This isn't about guilt.
It's about freedom.

Because stewards don't carry the weight of ownership.
They carry the responsibility of faithfulness.

Here's the truth that will change the way you live:

If you are the steward and God is the owner, the burden of provision is not on your shoulders.

It's on His.

Read that again.

You are not responsible for providing.
You are responsible for being faithful.

Obedience. Trust. Doing what He says, even when it doesn't make sense.

That's your job.

The supply? That's His job.

Throughout Scripture, God makes one thing abundantly clear: He alone provides for His people.

Not your hustle.
Not your backup plan.
Not your anxiety-driven overthinking.

Him.

So stop carrying what was never yours to carry.

Manage what's in your hands.
Trust Him for what's not.

Your purpose is not your job title.

Not firefighter.
Not teacher.
Not stay-at-home mom.
Not pastor.
Not student.
Not retiree.

Those are roles.
They're not your purpose.

Your purpose?
To glorify God.

In whatever you do.
Wherever you are.
No matter the title on your business card.

This is why it matters:
Everything was created for the glory of God.
This world.
Your life.
Every moment.

And God will not share His glory.
He does not outsource it.
He will not apologize for it.

Why?

Because God is the only being in the universe for whom self-exaltation is not pride.

It's just true.

So the question isn't what do you do.
The question is, are you doing it for the purpose you were created for?

Look at the mountains.
Look at the universe.
Look at the solar systems.
Look in the mirror.

What do you see?

You see the glory of God.

Here's what changes everything:
God didn't create you because He was bored.
He didn't create you because He was lonely.

God created you as an expression of His almighty holiness and love.

Read that again.

You are not an accident.
You are not a mistake.
You are not insignificant.

You are a deliberate expression of Almighty God's glory.

What does that say about your value?
What does that say about your worth?

If the Creator of the universe made you to display His holiness.
It changes how you see yourself.
It changes how you walk through today.
It changes everything.

Through Him all things are sustained.

You didn't wake up this morning because of your own effort.
Your heart didn't beat through the night because you willed it to.

Every breath.
Every heartbeat.
Every moment you've ever lived.

Sustained by Him.

We think we're holding our lives together.
We think our hustle keeps us going.
We think we're in control.

But the greatest miracle happens every single night while you're asleep.
Without you doing anything.
God sustains you.

He is the creator of all things.
He is the sustainer of all things.

And that changes everything about how we live today.
