A 9/11 Prayer of Remembrance
Knights of Columbus Council 5618
**Heavenly Father,**
On this solemn anniversary, we gather as Knights of Columbus Council 5618 to remember the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001.
We pray for all who died that day—in New York, at the Pentagon, and in Shanksville. Welcome them into Your eternal peace and let perpetual light shine upon them.
We remember the firefighters, police officers, emergency responders, military personnel, and ordinary citizens who gave their lives while helping others. Bless their families and loved ones, who continue to carry their absence in their hearts.
Comfort all who still grieve. Strengthen those whose health and lives were forever changed. Give wisdom and courage to those who protect our communities and our nation.
Help us honor the memory of the fallen not only with words, but through lives of faith, service, charity, unity, and love. Keep us mindful that hatred and violence must never have the final word.
May we always stand together in compassion and hope, and may the memory of those we lost inspire us to build a more peaceful and faithful world.
**We never forget.**
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
