Jacobi Lartha Richardson Tolbert—a name so nice, you have to say the whole thing—is the one and only beloved son of Danielle V. Richardson and Jermaine Tolbert. Born and raised in Altamonte Springs, Florida, Jacobi has been a fixture at New Bethel A.M.E. Church since birth—literally. He was christened by Rev. Robert Jackson III and hasn’t missed a beat (or a church service) since.
If the church had a punch card for participation, Jacobi would’ve filled three by now. With a voice smoother than a choir robe on Easter Sunday, he has blessed the Youth, Adult, and Male Choirs with his vocals. And when he's not singing, he’s serving—holding nearly every leadership role New Bethel has to offer: YPD President, RAYAC President, Lay Representative, Media Team Member, Trustee Board Member, and unofficial Keymaster of the Kingdom (a.k.a. the guy who opens and closes the church for events).
A proud graduate of Lyman High School, Jacobi also led as President of the Young Men of Excellence, proving that leadership isn’t just a church thing—it’s a lifestyle. He’s now studying Business at Seminole State College and working at DVR Home Healthcare as an unpaid caregiver to his beautiful and highly blessed mother (who may or may not be the one who wrote this bio… just saying).
Known for his kind heart, cool spirit, and that unforgettable voice, Jacobi recently leveled up in life and earned the prestigious title of Mastor Master—a badge of honor that even he isn’t entirely sure how he got, but he's rolling with it. Whether he's leading worship or fixing the church Wi-Fi, Jacobi is a young man walking in purpose, powered by faith, and always ready with a quiet smile and a gospel note.
