There is a protest happening in the church parking lot that is not associated with First Baptist Church. Just wanted to get out ahead of this. We have called the police and they will hopefully be off of our property soon. Thanks.

Lead Pastor Position – First Baptist Church, Altamont, KS

📍 Location: Altamont, Kansas (SE Kansas – near Oklahoma & Missouri borders)
💼 Position: Full-Time Pastor
💲 Salary: $50,000–$60,000 with Parsonage (4-bedroom house, 2-car garage, 1 block from church)

We are seeking a strong spiritual leader to shepherd our congregation, cast vision, and faithfully preach the Word of God.

🔹 Responsibilities:
• Preach biblically sound, Spirit-led sermons weekly
• Lead services, weddings, funerals, and discipleship classes
• Provide pastoral care, counseling, and visitation
• Oversee church operations, staff, and budget with the Deacons
• Promote outreach, missions, and community involvement

🔹 Qualifications:
• Mature, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Seminary degree (M.Div. preferred)
• 5+ years pastoral ministry experience
• Strong communicator, visionary leader, and servant-hearted shepherd

📅 Schedule: Includes weekends, evenings, and emergency availability

A close-knit town of ~1,000 residents with nearby schools (grades K–12) and a warm, family-oriented community.

Youth group is having a great time on our trip to Branson! Went to Lamberts on our way to eat. Then we watched Queen Esther today. Highly recommend that show! Had fun this evening on the Branson strip go-karting, riding the Ferris wheel, and some other things. Hitting the landing tomorrow morning before coming home tomorrow afternoon!

First night of youth camp! Awesome worship. Singing with 5,000 other people will never get old. Also watching roughly 200 people on night one go forward and get saved is awesome!

We had 4 kids of our own decide to give their life to Jesus last night and if that doesn’t fire you up I don’t know what will! 73 kids in total got saved last night here at camp. It has been so much fun watching everyone fall in love with our Heavenly Father. We are gaining new brothers and sisters in Christ every night here at church camp and heaven is getting packed! God is good!

5,000 kids are here worshipping God. What an awesome thing to watch. 54 kids got saved last night. Lives are being changed here at youth camp. God is working!
