Christ The Shepherd Lutheran Church

Hello everyone,

There’s still time to join us for our Lutheran Day of Service with SGV Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, October 24! Together, we’ll help rebuild homes in Altadena for families recovering from the Los Angeles wildfires.

Please register by Wednesday, October 14.

There are two ways to participate:

🔨 Construction Volunteers
Sign up directly with Habitat to help rebuild homes. Spaces are limited, and volunteers must be 16 or older.
Register for Construction: bit.ly/LutheranRebuild
🍽️ Lunch Support Volunteers

Help serve lunch and offer some encouragement to our construction volunteers!

You’re also welcome to bring dessert or drinks to share.

Lunch will be provided here at Christ the Shepherd Lutheran Church in Altadena at 12:00 p.m.
To volunteer with lunch, email Victoria Villa at [email protected].

You can also support the ongoing recovery work by donating to the Disaster Relief Fund. Please select “Disaster Relief Fund” from the drop-down menu.

Thank you for continuing to show up for our neighbors. Every helping hand makes a difference, and we’d love to have you join us!

Today is Indigenous Peoples' Day!

"Give thanks for Indigenous communities that have lived in the Americas and other parts of the world for thousands of years. Pray that we will not overlook them in our telling of history and that we will honor our church’s commitment to repentance, reconciliation, healing, respect and unity as children of God." —Prayer Ventures
