Camp Alta is a Christian camp and retreat center, located on the western slope of the Sierra Mountains of Northern California, in the small town of Alta. Being only a few miles from Interstate-80 Camp Alta is easily accessible for user groups from Reno, Sacramento, and the Bay Area. As we step into 2026, our hearts are full of gratitude for you, our Camp Alta family.

Thank you for walking alongside us, praying for us, supporting us, and believing in the work God is doing here. Because of you, Camp Alta continues to be a place where Christ’s love is shared through a boundless ministry of hospitality where people are welcomed, known, and cared for.

Our prayer for this new year is that you would experience the nearness of Christ, the peace that only He gives, and the joy that comes from being deeply loved by Him. May 2026 be a year marked by hope, growth, and meaningful connection as we continue to serve together for God’s glory.

🎄 10 Days Until Christmas 🎄

As Christmas gets closer, we want to pause for a moment and remember what this season is really about.

Christmas reminds us that our hope isn’t found in perfect plans or perfect circumstances. It’s found in Jesus. God came near, stepped into our world, and brought a hope that lasts, even when life feels heavy. That’s something we hold close at Camp Alta, not just at Christmas, but all year long.

However this season finds you, joyful, worn out, grieving, or somewhere in between, you are not alone, and you are deeply loved.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13
