OUR LADY OF PEACE PARISH CELEBRATES HISTORIC CORPUS CHRISTI EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION THROUGH ALPINE
Today, Sunday, June 7th, the faithful of Our Lady of Peace Parish gathered for a truly historic and grace-filled celebration of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi as Jesus Christ, present in the Most Holy Eucharist, was carried throughout the streets of Alpine in a public witness of faith, prayer, and devotion.
Following Holy Mass, parishioners joined in a solemn vehicle procession led by the Blessed Sacrament in the Monstrance. Along the route, our community united in prayer as Our Lord passed through town, bringing His blessing to our homes, businesses, schools, and all who encountered Him.
Special Eucharistic blessings were given to the City of Alpine, Alpine Elementary School, Alpine High School, and various locations throughout the procession route. It was a powerful reminder that Christ desires to be present not only within the walls of the church, but also in the heart of our community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Alpine Police Department for their professionalism, support, and commitment to ensuring the safety of all participants. Their assistance allowed this sacred event to proceed smoothly and reverently.
We also offer sincere thanks to the Knights of Columbus, whose dedication, planning, setup, and service helped make this procession possible. Their commitment to honoring Our Lord and serving the Church was evident throughout the entire event.
To all parishioners, and community members who participated, thank you for your prayers, generosity, and witness of faith. Your presence helped make this a memorable and inspiring occasion for our parish and our town.
Most importantly, we give thanks to Almighty God for the gift of the Holy Eucharist. Seeing Jesus carried through the streets of Alpine was a beautiful testimony to our Catholic faith and a reminder that He remains with us, blessing, healing, and guiding His people.
May the graces of this Corpus Christi procession continue to bear fruit in our families, our schools, our parish, and our entire community.
"Behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age." (Matthew 28:20)
